Rarity and Fluttershy have found love in each other, and after a wonderful date, they're ready to consummate in the most intimate way. Or rather, one of them is.
5956731 One of the fundamental problems with any Rarity ship is that Spike has been established in canon that he has affections for Rarity, and this often needs to be addressed. For the sake of writing a good, tight story with a clean storyline, I chose not to elaborate on this particular part of Rarity's life. There's no doubt that it is a part of her, and she is considering it; it's simply not being shown "on-screen," as it were.
Please understand that not every ship with Rarity is a Sparity, or will necessarily make Spike a major part of the story. It is unimpeachable that Spike is a very important character. But he is not an important character in this story, just as Spike does not appear in certain MLP episodes. If that's what you're looking for, I'm afraid you won't find it here.
5957351 I know you have! Hopefully you get what that "24 Hours" title to my blog post means now, hmm?
5958752 Oh, hi! Didn't know you'd be on board for this one, seeing as you never told me you read Language. But I'm glad to have you back! It's gonna be a long ride.
After reading all the stories in this series I have to say that I am vastly impressed with your writing ability, you are a good author. I thought that you did a fantastic job in the characterisation of Rarity and Fluttershy. I liked this opening chapter to this story and am glad that you are continuing on with this pairing. There needs to be more Fluttershy/Rarity stories out there!
Anyway I look forward to where you go next with this story and I cant wait for the next sweet update. I present you with a like and a favourite in regards to all stories in this series. I commend you and can't wait to read more from you in the future.
5962340 Whoa. Thanks a lot for the praise! It's nice to hear things like this, especially considering how much time I spent tweaking this series and how mixed the rating is for this story (though I have an idea why that is, and I think it's rather shallow). It's good to know that that effort hasn't gone to waste.
And I agree with you: there is a distinctive lack of Flarity on this site, and i'm doing my best to rectify it!

Did..I miss something in the show or did you mean Rarity.
5968858 Actually both are correct. Spike genuinely likes Fluttershy, even if his crush is on Rarity, and I'm fairly certain if two of his best friends got together he'd rejoice. After all, he's had to watch Rarity crying over idiots like Trenderhoof who don't even recognize her feelings.
By definition, I am a heterosexual that ironically loves a mare. Our relationship is a complicated one.
There's nothing ironic about it, once one disabuses themselves of the modern, ingrained notions of what love is, and what sexual attraction is. Apart from the purely carnal, many choose sexual intimacy to further their interpersonal intimacy, not the other way around - sex is often a tool to get closer to someone, rather than arising from such closeness (and those that can boast such are truly lucky). There's a reason we sleep around, sometimes - we're looking, but not finding.
Love is a connection between entities capable of feeling and expressing it, and its core. So, in the heart of things, this love is much simpler than straightforward sexual intimacy/attraction would've been: it's being in love with who the other person is, not what they are.
I use specialty unscented shampoos nowadays; Fluttershy doesn't like artificial odorants.
Now that is a beautiful little moment, right there. The right notion, too... I understand that very well. Why would those close to me want to cover up their natural scent, has always been a bit of a mystery to me. I'll take their own pheromones over any god-forsaken soap any day.
It begins.
I wonder which one of them told Spike about this?
Been waiting for this!
MORE!

It's so sweet!

Be quiet, you! The story proper hasn't even begun yet, and we have a long way to go!
5959460 I have to say it came to me later then id admit
Oh boy, the awkwardness is going to be so extreme. I hope Fluttershy doesn't get too hurt.
Rarity, you own a cat, that is a very bad idea.
5960823 Tweety somehow survives... Cartoon logic dictates the bird wins.

5963727 I appreciate the help. Try as I might, I cannot write it all.
I made you one of those things where it's like a rendering of a character/characters from a story.
"Fanart", I think it's called.

Yeah, that is what I meant. Thanks for catching that.

Oh, ffff— . . . I'm not supposed to be getting fanart yet! Take it baaack! I mean, that's . . .
I'm speechless. That's all I can really say at this point. That, and "thank you" feels like too ineffectual a word to use.
5969284
Well, I owe you one for all the times you've helped me out on stories.
