Do you need to make the change permanent? You could just have Twilight enchant a necklace or something to change Rainbow into a stallion when she want's to be intimate with Gilda. I think it is a bit overboard to change Rainbow's gender permanently.
5207629 Considering how Rainbow acts normally, it wouldn't surprise me if she actually wanted to be a stallion regardless.
You know I'm glad that Kamina and Blitz confronted Trixie, Twilight, Rarity, and AJ about the orgy. Likewise, I'm happy that Kamina established a brotherly bond with Vinyl and learned the backstory of his "father". It was amazing to see Kamina stand up to his friends, especially the xenophobic vendors, and made Zecora be accepted into Ponyville. I got to say that the joke on Kamina and Spike's was funny while Fluttershy is more confident on revealing her joke effect. Finally, I'm glad that Zecora will join the herd.
They should figure out a why to make it permanent for Spike. Dude needs a break.
I would like to see something like this (start at 1:20)
Ok, nice chapter, but i think you got one strike in my book.
I like Zecora as an character, but for me the rhyme is part of the character of an mysterious shaman/sage/teacher character like her.
the excuse of the different language is frail to, as far as we know they have only one language, after all the dragon, the most feral of the more or less intelligence races, know how to speak it. You rhyme are not the best, but not the worst i have read. So i think you could do better as just avoiding them. But this is just my personal point of view of this.
but i think it is good to bring her more often in, but as one other mare in the herd? Don't get me wrong i'm not against interspecial breeding as long both parts are intelligence enough, but this to also takes the flare of the mystical shaman away. Again just my POV.
but non the less this was a good chapter, it was a nice change to not read about another steamy season of them but just story and a little hint of things. If you use this to often as a joke in every chapter this will get old and just boring, so i'm happy to see there some holding back of this here ^^.
So hold this up this good work and see you next time.
Are you showing some restrain? That's new.
5210515 *scores a strike in a bowling alley, causing me to woot in triumph* Thanks for the strike!
Now for something serious.
I don't want Zecora to just be that mystical, wise shawoman (Shaman+woman=shawoman, Wise and Man don't even belong in the same sentence XD, PS. I'm a guy) I want her to be approachable, I want her to be a mare, not just someone to turn to for guidance, even though she'll still be there for that.
Also, Zecora's hot, your argument is invalid.
As for taking the rhyming away, that's not about to happen anytime soon. She'll still have to rhyme to try and get a point across in Equestrian if she doesn't know the words herself, or if her company cannot translate for her. Also, the translation spell forcing rhyming is a running gag produced by the fanon, and I wanted to do that.
5211130 *looks at handcuffs binding me to keyboard, and frowns* These metaphorical cuffs are made of your expectations and my desire to fulfill them, or defy them, and I have limits. A male griffin, as shown on the show in "Rainbow Falls", can be quite large.
Considering Gilda's subspecies of Griffon being that of the classic eagle and lion breed, and as a queen (what female cats and lions are called) she's already slightly larger than the average pony, she could easily double in size if she became a tom/king, and I'm not going to be ridiculous and expect THAT to try and fit into petite little Dashie, no, just no. I'm deviant, not cruel.
5212810 is alright. was just teasing.
5212901 Oh~ so you DO have a sense of humor
5212794 XD man how long is it that i was in such a thing, oh yes years XD miss this sort of things ^^.
Depends on the Man ;P (Doctor Who for the win, he is just brilliant ^^). But happy to hear she wont become just like every other mare and still be able to help Kamina.
Just a question, will you bring a Viral like character in?
Didn't know about the running gag. So then i will see what you will make out of it. ^^
If anyone is wondering, a male griffon grows to sizes around or bigger to a large draft horse, and yes that is from our real world myths, while the largest females get to the size of a normal draft horse which is still pretty dang big, in this universe however they are measured more towards ponies so their sizes are smaller, otherwise, yeah, those male griffins wouldn't even be able to get on a train.
Not a fan of going to have to call rainbow, blitz now -_-
I'm sorry, but that was so ridiculous and OOC that I had to stop at that point. It's just, for all the stories that bring this up when Zecora shows up, none of the authors of those stories ever seem to actually stop and consider the circumstances. Heck, they explain in the freaking episode why they don't trust her! She lives alone, in a forest which (for them) is something out of a Lovecraft story, wears a creepy cloak, and has glowing eyes (for some reason) when looking out from the hood of the cloak. Were they wrong to act the way they did? Of course, but you have to think about it from their perspective, because when you do you realize that pretty much anyone would have acted the same way. Think about it; how would you react if you saw some stranger in hooded cloak come out of a dangerous, evil place? Yeah, I bet your first response would be to go up and say hi.
Again, I'm sorry for the rant, but this kind of thing just bothers me. What's worse is the even more ridiculous excuse of "Oh, it's due to herd mentality!" Yeah, because the ponies are so obviously still primitive and so bound by instinct. The problem is that this excuse (another pet peeve of mine in stories like this) is completely pointless due to the much more plausible reason that is available (considering, again, that it's mentioned in the episode itself).
Yeah, I'm just going to pretend none of that happened, because the story has been pretty good so far. Except for the massive lack of anything Gurren Lagann related.
5328062 we don't actually meet many other ponies to disprove the comment that states ponies as racists.
I prefer my ponies majority racist because it allows for development and pony rage (best rage).
The cringe is real! Though, I can't say I hadn't been warned.
It was fun till it lasted, but now it's just too not-serious for me. I would have stayed if there was clop, but sex is just implied. I guess this story is just not for This Guy.
That still kinda-sorta rhymes.
She seems like more of a Water Genasi to me.
