Honestly, I don't like the idea of these villainous human stories crossing over, especially because it would assume every human who goes to Equestria decides to play the villain. I can't help but think that if cos-players started falling from the sky, that the idiots who figure being evil will be fun would be the minority. I can see it when it's one villain per Equestria, but anymore than that becomes farfetched in my mind; and that's saying something in magic cartoon pony land.
3980491 Yeah, I know what you mean. I haven't read all of the stories in this group, but of the ones I have read, it is usually chance that brings the humans to Equestria. Like, in this one I think it was either the mask or alicorn amulet, which the character obtained by chance. This, I'm pretty sure, is how Reality Check's hater got to Equestria. The one with the shadow girl was by her stumbling upon the moon necklace. The Inventor guy stumbled upon Discords tooth. Though I gave up on the Alice one because it was poorly written, I'm sure it was some random thing that sent her to Equestria as well. And so on and so forth. On a case by case bases, It isn't too unbelievable, I mean, it's still playing the odds, but crap happens sometimes. Here is a real world example; it's comic-con, how many people do you think are innately evil at this convention? Me, I'd like to think more than two thirds fall between neutral and good, and any below that are still quite close to neutral and that hardly anyone there is actually evil. So, let's say there is one unassuming magical artifact at the convention that will send the buyer to Equestria, chances are better that a good person will buy it, but it is still possible for one of the few psychos to buy it. Now, let's take that same event and repeat it at multiple conventions, costume parties, garage sales across the globe. What are the odds that, by complete happenstance, every single way into Equestria is filled by a evil or moronic person. My guess, astronomical. As far as I'm concerned, the only believable way a bunch of villainous humans from around the globe could land in Equestria would be if there was a higher power sending them, and as this is not part of the chess game of the gods, I don't think that is happening. I agree, this story should remain about only one human getting sent to Equestria, not a dozen+. Not to mention this one is better than most and crossing it over with the rift-raft will only drag it down. I mean really, let's be honest here people, the only reason people like the Alice story is because she is killing, raping, and torturing a bunch of ponies. It is horribly written, near impossible to properly follow, and has a flat as paper protagonist. The fact that it is so popular makes me fear that bronydom is full of sadist.
3980491 The thing is, in most of these stories the human doesn't decide to be evil, typically it is an accident, or they aren't actually trying to be evil, they are just viewed as evil. If you showed up in a world you know very little about, and everyone thinks you were evil, would you rather call to some random person that has no idea what's going on, or would you prefer to call someone in the same scenario as you and work together with them from time to time to help each other out?
3980630 Slight problem with your logistics. Very few of the people who stumbled upon the magical artifacts are actually evil. For example, Solare was origionally considered "evil" because he accidentally started a forest fire because he couldn't control his powers. Yoshimitsu and Tobi had the same problem, they didn't know how to control their powers, so they were labeled evil. The "shadow girl" Abyss was being manipulated by some dark entity, and Invention was just inventing things which Celestia decided were "crimes against life itself and must be stopped". All of these people were somewhere between good and neutral, and were viewed as evil because of things out of their control. All I know about the story about Alice is it needs a pre-reader, and there are some exceptions (for example, Malideus walked into town and started bitch-slapping ponies for no real reason).
3981086 I suppose, but even in most of them, they either do pretend to be the villain they are dressed as, or become overly hostile towards the ponies over some perceived slight. Like a common one, they get captured, tied up, or put in a dungeon or something, then, when the ponies come in to interrogate them, they act all abrasive, cussing the ponies out and throwing around death threats, as if people in a life or death situation would do that. "I know my life is effectively in your hands... hooves, but I just wanted to say, with all seriousness... F^&% YOU, FREAKS! IF I EVER GET OUT OF HERE, I'LL RAPE YOUR FACES!... So yeah, can you let me go?... What are those glowing necklaces?" It's usually the human acting mildly evil, or stupid, and when the ponies retaliate, perhaps out of misunderstandings, it "turns" the human evil and they justify it as such. "I wasn't evil, they made me evil when they did blah blah to me... Let's ignore the fact that I never bothered to explain the situation to them or gave up after the first one or two failed attempts." I don't know, but I've always leaned towards being a "Leopard doesn't change it's spots" type of person. It's not that I don't believe people change, it's just that I don't think people change at the core too often. As in, inherently good people will remain so and the same for the inherently bad.
3981149 Well, the probability question then becomes, "What are the odds that each and every human would have the same level of bad luck leading them to being seen as bad guys? Wouldn't at least some of them have better luck than this?" I guess the best explanation to my own argument would be that after the first human arrived, dressed in evil looking garbs, it would be reasonable to assume the worse of anymore that show up in a similar fashion, but that is a bit of a stretch.
3982003 yep I remember a time where planet of the apes themed stories got the most spin offs but props goes to jimmy the grape for making such inspiring stories
3981060 I think you might be confusung my plans with someone else's. I make no guarantee, but I have conisdered a Roman Torchwick (bad guy from RWBY) in Equestria.
3985143 It's technically not I'm just giving the mentioned ones, who I deem to be the most likely to call upon Jack, a better opportunity to take a shot at using him.
3981296 Personally I sorta think the trademark of unholy amounts of bad luck, or actual insanity is the trademark of these tales because most of the time, in stories of similar tales outside of the villainous stuff, is that the main protagonist is lucky to a degree or the definition of hero. Also, its way beyond common that the Royal Sisters are the paragons of all time or all knowing deities and I think people are tired of those views, and the only other super popular sub genre in recent memory I can think of that the majority of stories portray them as just as flawed, if not more so, than other ponies is the Planet of the Apes style stories.
Something that comes with the princess when their seen in the light is that Human justification and pride. I'm not sure if you've seen it but there are a lot of people who don't like Humanity and prefer xenos (aliens in general), and in this fandom that means ponies. And then there's the flip side with Human enthusiasts, so yeah. Done with that tangent... sorry if its random.... Final thought; its fiction, so that should justify it on its own. But then I dont really feel comftortable leaving it at that. So ask yourself, if you went to something dressed as a villain or otherwise and suddenly got dropped into an alien world, that only just barely resembles Earth, with super powers or some corrupting item in your possession, that your first and foremost thought (which by the way its programed into your instincts of fight or flight) was to NOT learn to control your abilities and then assert some form of dominance over local life forms. Unless your first thought is flight then you would probably try and follow that line of thought even if only similar. The chances of failing your first attempt are huge. Boom, misunderstanding with alien\possible demon, who happens to be extremely powerfull is bound to happen. And would you play nice if that is all you know? I don't think I would with a few thousand civies under my care.
I... I... I think I'm done now.... sorry if that was ranty. Good day Fair Sir!
3986144 It's why I'm rather proud mine is neither unlucky nor mad. He's hving his personality wiped by an ancient being filled with a metric shit-tonne of evil.
I'm doing coverart for a mass crossover fic that has your character in it. Could you tell me what he looks like? And, does the coverart on your fic depict the mask accurately?
3988757 The cover I'm using is a shot from the trailer for Fable Anniversary, so yes, it's accurate. As for the rest, you'll have to google search his apearance, because I don't have working computer to link an image. I'm on here through Xbox Live.
3980630 I've always believed that Tobi and Yoshimitsu are more Chaotic Neutral. The Fat Friar's more of a chaotic good as well, and the King of the Hobos is just Necktie. They fit in with your theory- they're not malicious, they're just a couple of stoners who just happened to get the power to fight gods. I really hope that my works are not riff-raff. Ok, maybe the mass crossover. That's maybe riff-raff.
Alice you say?
So if we wish to use your character for our own story we can?
3980180 Thank you for giving me my theme song.
And yes, yes Alice.
'I guess I was no the only one to be imprisoned, then.'
This line means that I will forever read the main characters lines in a Scottish accent.
i love how all the universes are blending together

3980630 I t would be much better if they where good but something happened, like discord messed with there head and then they turn evil.
I do have a one question. I'm just wondering if you're still planning on doing the other league story with Master Xehanort being the villain?
3980491
