Sorry for the light spamming beforehand, but I can only tag one story at a time with these things.
Given that I honestly thought I'd have Dark Horse done back in January, I think its time to wake up and smell the long since fetid corpse of that self-imposed dead-line.
And with Dresden-Dresden this time at that!

That's right, a Five Score style crossover with the Dresden Files.

But do any of my readers know any good myths about salt?
Yes, salt. The white stuff most of you have some off in your very house.
If any cultures have some 'Prometheus' style deal with salt (IE man was given the knowledge from the gods) is in particular interest to me.
The next chapter is just a few lines away from being done. (Not yet sent to my editors, but the writing itself is almost done.)
Thing is, the next chapter got a wee bit beefy. Just short of 30000 words beefy, to be precise.
Since my own guideline for Horse Feathers is 10-20 K words per chapter, that was rather beyond intended.
Saw this idea by Alcatraz who'd in turn nicked it from NATOstrike, and decided it was really clever.
So from now, I'll keep pure status-updates to my user-page.

So I'm a bit too hot and distracted to write... but that doesn't mean I've stopped thinking.
Once more, me starting this story on a whim has caused a few bits of stuff needing fixing. Specifically, Björn now actually has something resembling a back-story past "dude that owns a bookstore."
(I know there's a few more things shown so far, but hush.)
I recently gave RealityCheck credit in the latest chapter of Horse Feathers, since I did steal without regrets take inspiration from how he does footnotes in his stories.
Most of you have probably heard already what I'm about to comment on, so the brief version:

I normally don't do these things since I find them slightly spammy and irritating, but I've gotten a few comments and PMs lately along the lines of:
This story isn't dead, right? RIGHT?!
Slight exaggeration for comedic effect, but you get the gist.
Just thought I'd say it in-case anybody saw the previous blog and was curious, but wished to wait for the edited version.

As of writing this, Horse Feathers is sitting at 101 up-votes!
Just to satisfy my curiosity I divided the number of up-votes on all my fics by their number of down-votes. In the order I started writing them:
One Pony's Curse, Is Another Man's Blessing: 3,4 votes per down-votes.
Sufficiently Advanced: 10,7 votes per down-votes.
A Rare Source of Irritation: 11,3
Horse Feathers: 5,3 votes per down-votes.
It was brought to my attention while fixing some of the errors of Horse Feathers that I really should use semicolons more; so I Googled for a how to since my English teachers were overworked hacks that never actually explained that bit of punctuation...
I found this rather glorious thing.
