X here. I don't know what time it is wherever you come from, butt here in Scotland we are enjoying the great festival of Hogmanay. You see, in Scotland, we don't have Christmas parties. Instead, we have the party on New Year's Eve. The celebrations are at their most excessive in the ancient city of Edinburgh, where it's always tourist season. Anyway, Happy New Year, and I hope to see you all again soon.

Because, over the course of the couple of days of walking and camping with terrible weather, one of us hurt his leg badly enough that he couldn't walk and we had to make an emergency call. We got taken to Inverness, where we stayed the night in a youth hostel, then took a train back home. Now I'm just sitting in my underwear and eating cheese toasties.
