I'MMA BOUT TO DROP A BOMB ON YOU GUYS! SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6!!!!
So there's a new season 7 promo running on DFC. Took a bit for someone to get this up on Derpibooru, but:
Apparently this is from S7E03. Looks like this is a pretty wacky episode. I can't wait for the context on this one.
Equivalent exchange. To obtain something, something equal must be lost. That is alchemy's first law. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth...
So the hiatus is apparently ending a little sooner than expected.
Season 5 episode 14 will air on September 12, followed by S5E15 the following week.
In which the downward spiral that is season 8 produces yet another immense turd to clog up the friendship toilet.
First, and rather not so subtly,
SEASON 6 IS HERE! OMIGOSHOMIGOSHOMIGOSH!!!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
*cue irrational spontaneous combustion due to unreasonable levels of hype*
Hehe, sorry.
I hope they're safe and happy for all of you!
Sorry for the overplayed choice of Christmas song this year, but do I love this song, and couldn't think of any other, better choice.
And a happy New Year as well!
In which Twilight Sparkle accidentally ignites a flame war.
I just saw a clip from season 7 on facebook. It featured Celestia and Twilight sitting at a table together. Twilight is talking about how Celestia sent her to ponyville and realising it's time for her to send Starlight away too.
I really don't know what to think about this.
Celestia only sent Twilight to Ponyville to help prepare for the summer sun celebration. It was Twilight who decided to stay with her friends.
Okay, so. Naomi Novik's Temeraire series are fun enough, as they're basically "Horatio Hornblower meets Pern," but those books kind of pale in comparison to her feminist take on fairy tales, Uprooted. Rightly lauded when it came out, Uprooted has a lot of cool stuff going on, subverting various tropes-- and even subverting the subversions of those tropes, and--
In which Spike starts getting hair in funny places.
In the closing paragraph of my last post, I conjured the most unsympathetic backstory I could possibly think of in order to test the limits of my desire to see Starlight Glimmer redeemed. I ended the paragraph by giving my grudging approval for an even more unsympathetic Starlight’s redemption and by questioning this version of Starlight’s psychological stability. After further thought, I realized that even with her canon backstory, Starlight Glimmer may have some psychological issues to
Alternate title for this episode: "Two Dorks and a Ham".
For the first time in over 130 episodes, it's bro time!
Silly griffon. Cutie Marks are for ponies!
In which Starlight gets jealous of Twilight, but at least manages to not destroy Equestria over it this time.
In which whoever decided on that episode title is an ASSHOLE.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand we're back!
Season six returns with a Daring Do episode featuring a special guest star: Patton Oswalt! You might know him best as the voice of Remy from Ratatouille. Here, he plays a pony named Quibble Pants.
Well okay! Let's take a look at the episode.
It's Twilight! And Flurry Heart! And adventures in babysitting! Basically it's "Baby Cakes" take two but with extra adorableness!
Let's-a go!
