Well, this makes blog number three today. Of course my personal record is four blogs in one day. Now where was I?
Oh yeah! This popped up on my YouTube recommendations a few minutes ago and I thought I'd share it.
Can we please skip the next five weeks?
I'd like everyone to notice how the only connection to The Movie they have is the appearance of Hippogriffs. No Tempest, no Grubber, no Capper, no Caelano, no Novo, no Skystar, no SiaPony. And I can tell you why:
Tempest is Reverse-Twilight #4. That's all she is. She'd have no place in the show unless they made her a permanent cast member and give her a role of importance like they did with Starlight.
Grubber's voice actor actually has a career (he was the motor mouth friend in Ant-Man) and doing the voice of Grubber again would probably kill it.
The Storm King is dead.
Capper was overall useless in the movie. His song could have been renamed "My Name is Tye Diggs and I'll be Playing the Role of The Pied Piper This Evening" and nothing would have changed.
Caelano was even more useless. Her song could have been renamed "I'm nobody you've ever heard of and I'm just here to fill time" and nothing would have changed.
Queen Novo was there just to fill the movie trope of "the black person".
Skystar is a glorified background character for more padding.
And that Sia nobody? She gets two scenes, a forgetful song, and that's it.
The only ones that have a snowball's chance in hell of returning are Capper, Caelano, Novo, and Skystar. And even then it'd only be for one episode. Tempest and Grubber won't come back unless they find someone to replace Emily Blunt and Michael Peña, and Sia Pony won't come back because nobody even knows who Sia is.
4798930 Actually the new throne room in Canterlot Castle is in season eight also. (I may or may not have peeked at one of the leaked episodes earlier this year)

Okay, so Canterlot got a remodel done. Whoobee-doo. Doesn't change the fact that The Movie is getting mostly swept under the rug because of it's pointlessness.
You can probably tell I really dislike that movie. It probably has something to do with the fact that it was written not by the people who are actually familiar with the show, but by the same guy that wrote Ice Age 4. Just goes to show that more money went into marketing than making a quality product.
Looks interesting thanks for sharing it
