And another 15k words down on Harmonic Resonance between the final two chapters, with another 3500 down on Feathered Hearts. I’ve been a busy boi, but neither is near ready for release. It’s possible at this point that the last Harmonic Resonance ascension chapter will have to be split again and end up being a three-parter, but we’ll see what shape it’s in as I get closer to done with it.
The mods have approved me posting the updated original Feathered Heart chapters to my story! 
In the end, it all came to me quickly, as did the prereads, and thus I'm releasing it tomorrow—once I've done a few more editing passes and am fully satisfied with it, that is. It's normally a very good sign when I find the writing easy, and my prereaders thus far—AJ_Aficionado, SIlentwoodfire, and Silverblade5—have all said they enjoyed the chapter, which has also sparked no end of discussion from them regarding what should come after.
Welcome to milestone blog #500! I’ve now been on Fimfiction for nine years... 
And it has gone right back to Feathered Hearts. I finished a new nearly 10k word main story chapter this week, and it will be published tomorrow morning or evening unless my prereaders object.
In the end, writing it came to me quickly, so you'll be getting it several days early. It's just waiting on one final preread and editing pass, but I can say that the first two prereaders loved it. Prepare for 12k words of griffon/human goodness—it's got everything from heated arguments and apologies to an overdue confrontation and comeuppance, to say nothing of a little (T-rated) fun with Fortrakt, who will be well and truly smitten by the end of this.
Because I’m ill. 
I started getting sick last Monday and by Wednesday I was down hard with a severe cold. Not COVID, and not the flu, but maybe it was that RSV thing that’s been going around. I’ve only been slowly getting better, taking two and a half sick days off from work, but sleeping has been an apnea-filled adventure at times with my nose so stopped up, and my energy has been very low. As a result, despite all the time off, I haven’t been writing much.
While I’m waiting to launch the latest chapter of Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising tonight, I worked on the next chapter of Feathered Hearts - Continuation and Chronicles heavily yesterday and especially today. It’s already up over 6,000 words, and among other things, I’m trying to work in parts of the original story’s chapter 9, as I haven’t included anything from the source material in a while. You’ll get to see the Marines, griffies, drakinas and Ibex in action as they work
Well, folks--it’s almost time. For those who are curious, I’m getting a midline glossectomy tomorrow to reduce the size of my tongue, and thus, its blockage of my airway during sleep. And yes, it’s every bit as fun as it sounds.
I’m happy to say the pain is slowly subsiding, and with it, the need for painkillers, though I still need a modicum of them to eat anything more than a protein shake. I made some spaghetti and meat sauce yesterday and ate it rather gingerly, in very small pieces. Might have been a mistake because my throat felt raw and inflamed afterwards, probably from the acid in the tomatoes.
With my turkey week break over (except that my family doesn’t do Turkey for thanksgiving dinner due to it not agreeing with certain palates), it’s back to work at the office and back to work writing, though I didn’t stop the latter during my week off. C&C chapter 30 is well underway, and I also gave the newly released M-rated chapters 10-14 a second and sorely needed editing pass.
The new chapter is closing on 11k words, and it might well be up over 15k when all is said and done. Too far past that, and I’ll have to think about breaking it up again. I’ve gotten close to finishing the first and last (fourth) sections, with the second section at 70% done and the third, about 30%. But the third is in some ways the most crucial, given that’s where you’re going to learn what’s going on elsewhere in the Kingdom and just where/when/how the Cloven struck.
The last release was a success, picking up one new like and a slew of additional tracks, so a warm welcome to new readers! Hope you enjoy the story, both what's already written and going forward. They're heavily edited and expanded as promised, but unfortunately, I am denied permission to post them to Fimfiction since they're not total rewrites. They're 60-80% different in terms of text, depending on the chapter, but that's not enough according to the mods.
I finally completed Disco Suit Feather: Love on the Road. I thought it would be good to get it out of the way as I thought that six chapters should be enough for this story. I will work on more chapters for The Drake Bros. and the Prince and the Poet whenever I have the time and if I'm in the mood for some writing. If you're wondering if Disco Suit Feather will get a sequel, that may be happening. I already have ideas on what it will be about and who will Feather make love to. I just got to

It didn’t feature—its like-to-dislike ratio isn’t really good enough for that at 6.5:1—but it still got a slew of new tracks and likes. I admit I was nervous about how the chapter would be received, given the subject matter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Or in the case of the griffons, bowl of tea. But I was pleasantly surprised, and needless to say, I do not plan to let
It’s weighing in at 7300 words of nearly nonstop human/griffon M-rated action. Nothing else to say, except get ready for a doozie of a chapter, folks. Speaking for myself, this might be my favorite chapter thus far!
