New Chapter Out · 9:37pm Jun 15th, 2017

Also I was looking at character tags.

Looks like I can update the character tags so there is an EQG tag now.

Shows how I didn't notice that useful update. Which of course probably happened months ago.

But yeah this is going to start the next arc and this hopefully will be a longer section as in its what I'd be calling "The Crystal Prep Introduction Arc"

Also Rarity was fun to write.

Should write her more.

So, just a quick funny coinkidink · 10:51pm Nov 28th, 2018

So, we got new workshirts at my current place of employment. Normally, that wouldn't be even a minor deal besides occationally wearing the new one, and just keeping the old ones as spares. Boss man's nice like that and lets us do that all the time.

Now the funny part, is that there's a new slogan across the front, that's abrivated on the sleave. The slogan in question, is "Get Ready for Great".

They abreviated it into GR4G.

I have my FIM login on my work clothes.

How to attract readers' attention, a half-baked guide regarding metadata and the like: · 5:20am Nov 30th, 2017

Disclaimer here:

This is not a guide on how to write better. Improving how you write is a matter of time and practice. This guide is a culmination of general observation and trial-and-error as to what people look for in a story and what will net you a higher view count. I'm not a spectacular writer, but I do know how to recognize what people want to see.

* And yes, I realize the inherent irony in posting this as a blog rather than as a forum thread.

How to become a Functional Family · 2:11am Nov 21st, 2023

Greetings and salutation, my name is Wrex and this is my review. Pick a dragon and learn to tolerate the cold because I'm reviewing a personal favorite of mine, 'How to become a Functional Family', a crossover between HTTYD, including the Rescue Rider Spin-off, and Frozen. In this story, Elsa ends up being Stoick's adopted daughter with absolutely no memory of Arendelle. I got to be honest, this is actually a well-done crossover. I actually didn't think it could work but it did. I especially

My new story policy. · 4:12pm Apr 24th, 2018

As I thought about a few things today, I decided to institute a new policy.

From now on, I will only write Crossovers. Those seem to be what I am best at writing, and seeing as they are well received as to my other stories, I'll stick with writing them and them only.

A few things. One, one of my favorite writers on Fanfiction.net reviewed one of my newer stories there, and he liked it. Made me really proud that I wrote it.

Troubleshooting: Adorable Ponies and Warfare · 2:23pm Jun 21st, 2016

If there is one area both the show and fandom constantly get wrong, it would be the combat. This is a very understandable failing; after all, real world horses don’t engage in combat very much and it is very hard to deduce the fighting methods of something whose shape is so different from a human. The only reliable method of physically striking their opponent is bucking, which requires them to be facing away from their enemy.

Currently, I'm aiding Quillian Inkheart in writing a story about a super soldier Nightmare Moon created that does not like how Luna was forgiven for her crimes after the Return. One of the things I mentioned was that ponies shouldn't have spears or swords, and he responed with evidence from the show that ponies have spears, and stated that swords are even

How to Write Compelling Villains · 3:33pm Oct 24th, 2020

I posted this a while ago as a reply comment to a blog of Wanderer D's, but thought it was worth a blog of its own. Because this is something so many people screw up, when it's really the easiest thing to get right, and I struggle to understand how many seem to find it so hard.
