No news regarding me or my writing at the moment, but I had the pleasure of meeting an amazingly talented and sadly underrated composer recently, and I wanted to give his stuff what little bit of spotlight I'm able to DoctorSympony writes instrumental music based on MLP, usually inspired by locations throughout Equestria. Check out a couple of his songs below, but please, if you like it then hit up his YouTube to drop
My brother bought Shadowrun for the SNES, and I now found myself semi-obsessed with its 16-bit soundtrack. I downloaded a ROM of it and started a game through an emulator on my smart phone. I'm not shelling $60 bucks for an old console... At least, not right now.
Erm, anyway. What I'm trying to get as is that I feel like (retro) cyberpunk-type music, so that's what this post is gonna comprise of. Maybe next time I'll do a fantasy-themed music post. Or something piratey. I like pirates.
So, despite this being an old-fashioned Pinkie Pie episode, I actually find myself a little bit more interested in this one again than it's usually the case with Mane Six episodes these days. I'm still quite a bit peeved over it that it isn't a Yona episode, even though the title implies this to some extent, but this is one of the rare episodes where we can still see a new side and some personal development from a member of the Mane Six, so I enjoyed this one more.
Hey there. Been a bit since I did one of these. Here's some music that might help fuel fantasy/Euro-centric stories. Some might be a bit new-agey with some africano beats, and one has some trippy horror elements sprinkled in, but hey... It's MY recommendations, and I like this stuff. Edit 2019: Dead links! Oh noooo... I added a new one to try to make up for some of the loss, but that still just leaves two...
I've been dying to do this one, and I'm afraid I've gone overboard. I love fight music. I love stuff that gets my blood pumping. I love imagining my characters kicking ass. So of course, I couldn't just pick three tracks. Below is a mix of EDM (drum & bass, darkcore, industrial, dub, and grind house), metal, punk, pop, and...stuff. Just stuff. Lots of stuff. Some of these have lyrics, and I separate them. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to share your favorites too.
I haven't done reviews in a while, and I have a handwritten writing advice post I'd like to type up, but the illness that plagued my son and hubby has caught up with me, so I'm feeling rather low energy. Instead, I'll just do one of these.
