Since we're all stuck inside, I'll try to do one movie quote at the end of each week to keep us busy. Here's today's movie

Been a REALLY long time since I did one of these.

...Yeah, this is late. But in my defense, I did just see it for the first time last night. But I honestly wish I had seen it sooner.
I have had a soft spot for stop-motion animation for quite some time, at least since I saw the Shaun the Sheep movie in 2015. To me, it feels more stylized and authentic than computer animation, and I always have respect for people who try it because it takes a really long time. And that already made me more interested in this movie.

Hey, everyone. Mr. J here.
I was thinking about which Pixar movie I should watch next, but I couldn’t decide which I should check out first. So here’s a list of three movies I haven’t seen yet, one of which came out recently:
Original Release Date: April 22, 2011
Say what you want about Tyler Perry films, but this one was absolutely real! Real crazy!
For the fact that as a Madea film...this one was definitely ballsy.
Also necessary mention: R.I.H Natalie Desselle-Reid (actress who played "Tammy" in the film). She passed back in December of last year.
So, guys, here's another blog about Miraculous—
No, for once it isn't. I don't think I chucked up something about going to see the new Fast X a couple weeks back but I'm gonna drop it here because I just went to see it for a second time.
Banging movie, can't lie. I'm one of the plebs who gladly partakes in the 'muh family' film franchise.
I'm also one of the plebs who desperately wants a Hobbs & Shaw sequel, but that's besides the point.
Just a quick a little heads up yes I'm going to include the 1993 version.

Yes I finally saw My Little Pony: The Movie and it is a cinematic masterpiece. This great movie truly did not deserve to be rip to shreds by the critics. MLP The Movie is truly one of the best films of 2017 and the best animated movie of 2017. It is more darker and grittier than the show. And the way Princess Twilight Sparkle, Capper The Cat, and Spike The Dragon take care of the villains in this movie that would make Michael Keaton's Batman very proud. I am so proud of Hasbro for making this
Okay. I have to admit, I was wrong about this one. I didn't want to watch it at first, because I have no love for Seth Rogen and his involvement in this movie immediately turned me off to the news. But my mom was curious to see it (having fond memories of her and I watching the 2012 Turtles cartoon on Saturday mornings) and I decided it was as good a way to ring out the summer as any.
Note: The main review contains several spoilers. However, I'll be putting a shorter review at the end that contains no spoilers.
The Plot
Seriously don't listen to what big name critics say about My Little Pony: The Movie because they tend to be bought and paid for shills for rival movie studios like Disney and some of these critics just simply don't like movies that don't have political correct messages in them. However the only reviews you should really care about are those from the Brony community itself and so far the vast majority of Bronies and Pegasisters love MLP The Movie. Hell even people who do not follow the tv show
Well, I'm sure by now many of you have either seen the leaked English version from the Brazilian broadcast a week ago, or the official Netflix release that came out yesterday. For those of who you still haven't because you're waiting on the DVD release (there's no word on when or if it'll get a television broadcast):
Texts worth reading--worth reading now, and worth reading two hundred years from now--coordinate the personal with the national and the international; they embed the instant in the instant's full context and long history. It's what the Odyssey does and what Middlemarch does and what Invisible Man does and what Jonathan Franzen and Marilynne Robinson's recent novels try to do.
