It was a short introduction, and now my question to many writers with different opinions.

Should I put the "Drugs" tag in my story, provided that there really are scenes in the plot in which characters drink wine? ... Or the main character smokes "weed" with kirins. Or various potions that give a similar effect (Combat Stimulant. Increasing stamina in sex. Night vision. The list goes on and I have a fantasy for it). At the same time, I try to describe various effects.

For example, Celestia has a magic wine that is made by her personal order, and the effect of this drink is that her body becomes sweet in taste. Horn, mane, hooves, tail, her private parts of the body... It doesn't matter. It just gets sweet. (Yes, she drinks such wine, for the sake of erotic games with her lover).

Next question.

Should I warn the reader in a long description that there are porn scenes in my plot that I have described in great detail? So it's more like romantic porn, with a plot.

7692161 I have zero time for a post that starts out with targeting other users in the group. I'd recommend you fix it very quickly.

EDIT: Good.

Have you ever been told that you can be boring in your comments? Because that's the way it is. Well, I sympathize with you that you are aging so quickly.

You need to have a better rest! Go camping in nature, take your beloved friend with you. Spend the evening by the campfire, and similar adult things. Because if you behave like a slave to this world, you will kill yourself quickly.

In the end, tell your boss at work what you think about him. But if it's a female boss... then don't do it!

7692161 It's a mature story with a porn tag. I don't think you need to stress about the vine. Those readers who can't handle drugs probably shouldn't be reading your story in the first place.

7692167
I don't have a Porn Tag.

Although, the details of the described scene may well be considered Porn, and not just UUUH! I'm not going to act like a virgin or asexual.

7692161
Sound... tasty. You like a lolipop Celestia, right?

7692161
Go nuts. I know from experiences that its better to be sure than risk a story getting flak from the Admin staff for missed tags.

Sorry i have no time to help you with grammatics like i say, but my own storys got finaly trough and i am hard pressed on them.

I check out later your story and comment on it. Looking forward to it once i currently reading storys are reached the 'to be continued' part.

If there are drugs... tag for drugs. If there is porn... tag for porn. Simple!

Sex

The sex tag, when used with the mature rating, is used as a warning that the story contains detailed descriptions of sexual acts. teen-level sexual acts are generally fine in Mature without this tag, however.

Hahah! I just got a taste when I described the scene in 14K words. But I hope Celestia was satisfied. :trollestia:

Yes, I am aware of your patience and recent successes. However, I remember that you were my first reader.

If there weren't so many restrictions, I would have entered a lot of tags. At the same time, not only the reds. I wouldn't even create such a topic for communication at all.

Tag Porn... Have you ever seen a story of more than half a million words with a Porn tag?

7692233
I think so too. It's just that after the last update, I had doubts. I could just enter a few words of a long description that says in the warning about such detailed scenes.

To quote the help text from the story edit screen:

Narcotics - Stories containing abuse / heavy use of narcotics such as alcohol, drugs and tobacco. Light, casual usage is generally fine without a warning.

Personally, when I see the 'narcotics' tag, I expect drugs to be an essential part of the story's plot OR at least A LOT of scenes depicting drug usage and/or its effects. So, IMHO:

No 'Narcotics' tag:

  • characters casually drinking any sort of alcohol and getting drunk in a 'normal' range
  • one/a few scenes where a character casually uses drugs and/or where the said drugs are not really crucial to the plot (if you can switch from drugs to alcohol and get more or less the same scene, it's a good indicator of this)

'Narcotics' tag:

  • you want to show an alcoholic libation, with multiple characters blacking out, shouting, swearing, puking, and swimming in empty bottles
  • your characters are doping all the time. OR drugs are an essential part of the story. OR you want to write extended scenes showing vivid descriptions of hallucinogenic effects

To apply that to your particular examples:

For example, Celestia has a magic wine that is made by her personal order, and the effect of this drink is that her body becomes sweet in taste. Horn, mane, hooves, tail, her private parts of the body... It doesn't matter. It just gets sweet. (Yes, she drinks such wine, for the sake of erotic games with her lover).

The way you describe it, the wine sounds like an aphrodisiac AND the scenes that will follow will be showing its effects in detail. So... I would say YES; to me, the story should have a 'narcotics' tag.

Should I warn the reader in a long description that there are porn scenes in my plot that I have described in great detail? So it's more like romantic porn, with a plot.

If it's not a porn story, I urge you to reconsider whether to put porn scenes there at all. Some people like such mixes, other people don't. Personally, I'm not a fan because 'romantic porn' or not, such scenes are almost always in the way of the primary plot and stop the story's progress for a while. Not to mention how they affect the reader's mood :unsuresweetie:.

One alternative is to make one-shot porn stories referring to your primary one. That way, not only you'll be able to make the story without annoying people who don't like mixing porn scenes in non-porn stories. But also, you'll get free advertisement for your primary story.

All that said... if you really want to put porn scenes in your non-porn story, I would say, YES, give your readers some warning in the description.

Drugs are bad. M'kay.

You want to put like, prioritise the Big Tags. Things like sex/drugs/gore etc, because those are the ones that people are more likely to want to avoid (or, in fact, seek out specifically) and the ones people get most upset by if they weren't forewarned. If the site doesn't give you enough tags to put everything in, then expand on additional content tags in the main story description.

And I have absolutely seen very long fics that include porn scenes tagged with something that indicates that the porn exists in it somewhere. I don't generally read M-rated ponyfic, so this is usually on other fic sites where tagging can be more comprehensive, but the gist of the thing is still the same. Something about courtesy within a fandom and not shoving unwanted content into the faces of people who were doing their best to filter it out.

If nothing else, correctly tagging your work gets you into fewer fights.
