So im trying to make a pony villian name out of the term Janus-faced which means "having two sharply contrasting aspects or characteristics". Does anyone have any ideas?.

contrariorum? Latin for opposites (Mind you a pretty lazy attempt on my behalf)

The best villain names are often the simplest. Duality.

Parallel?

Frosty Pyre?

Mellow Blaze?

Do I have the right idea or am I spouting nonsense?

Why not just use Janus?

I wanted to make something clever lol but I guess i can just use Janus

Two Face.
Double Time.
Dual Tool.
Both Sides.
High Low.
Inside Out.
Right Left.

Sometimes simple is better!

Nah you know what's better than Two Face? One Face

Create a character who seems to have two distinct personalities (a Jekell-Hyde type of thing): one who is a good guy and one that is the villain. Have them seem to be totally different characters, from their personality to their appearance (You can make them as distinct or similar as you want), but drop hints here and there of them being one person before you make the big reveal.

One example I know of for this being done well is Masquerade from the first Bakugan series.

Thanks for the advice

You're welcome. Good luck on your project.

I named an Ettin OC of mine Descartes because of Dualism... it was partly because I intended him to be more of an Anti-Hero than a card carrying villain. I later created a foil character to him that was named Spinoza...

You could also call him Sock N. Buskin...
