well it's good to see things getting better, I don't expect the rest to go so well, but at leas with Buck, the normal anger out of love should be, less crazy. Also I do hope Night dose learn from this, and be a better leader, his friends rely on him, as he dose on them.
Side note, I have a strong feeling that if Cora every met Vibraphone, they both get along real well, at least the earlier more stable Vibraphone.
Aww yeah! Half tracks are awesome to drive! They make you feel like nothing can stop you! Kinda wish Night Flight ran Salt over with it. When I imagine the one Night is driving the first images that come to mind are the WW2 M3 half track and the Kavostov half track from Smuggler's Run 2. I would think the one Night is driving could be a mix of both.
WW2 M3

And also, I was listening to a song called Clocks by Coldplay and when the lead singer sang the line
"am I part of the cure
or am I part of the disease"
I couldn't help but think that Night might wonder that of himself. With all the times he screws up one would imagine that he would think that he thinks himself as more of a hindrance than a help to the team when he first started. A good thing he has going for him though, is that he wants to do right by his new friends and that his heart is in the right place despite all his mess ups.

Well, to be honest, Solomon would never touch anything so brutish as a military halftrack. It's gotta have style and class fitting for someone with money and the want to flaunt it! It was one of the first vehicles that I'd gotten squared away design wise for the story past Bertha, Bessy, and the runner. Like those, it's actually a realworld design, though it never really took off in any sort of way: The Gaz-VM Phaeton http://denisovets.ru/gaz/gazprototips/GAZVMphaeton_3.jpg Which of course I've had to tweak slightly for use in the story, like having it be a four door vehicle, and replacing the rubber tracks with metal ones to be a bit more believably durable and maintainable!
As for the lyrics, it's not something that's quite hit him yet, but the parallels are definitely there! And while his heart is in the right place, that can only excuse so much of what he's been forced to do. Still, you'll just have to see how things continue in another couple of weeks!

So loft literally gets ponies high. Nice.

Yeah! I thought it would be a particularly neat drug if it did.
Well umm except the face scratch... that would hurt A LOT more
Ngl, the last couple chapters have been pretty bad, essentially from the point right before what happened to Violet.
Apparently everyone forgot radios are a thing, and neither Cora or Hispano went after him?
Cora's not his employee so that's kind of understandable, just really shitty, but Hispano is his direct employee.
As a Talon that means protect with your life, let alone that she's in love with him.
My suspension of disbelief flew completely out the window, along with most of my emotional investment.
Immediately followed by a section of literal torture. Yay.
Then you have Solomon, who by his rules just lost his own game. Whoops, oh well.
And then there's the whole attitude when he gets back, that he somehow fucked up by chasing after the person that just murdered his friend, got no backup, and no one came after him.
Because, it'd be super hard for two talon mercs to chase down a heavily injured griffon carrying another pony.
Instead one just stuck his thumb up his ass and the other did a bunch of drugs I guess?
I mean, they could have literally stood at the edge of the cliff and watched the entire fight.
There is no reasonable explanation for why no one tried to help him, or why Galina actually managed to get away with him.
So, everything after that point essentially fell completely flat for me.
Not really any way to recover at this point, and I'm sure the prevailing attitude that it's all Night's fault will continue, further digging the story's grave for me.
I'll probably keep reading out of morbid curiousity, but this is where the story died for me.
Sorry for the wall of text. I probably won't comment again.
