    New Story? New Story

As I promised, I've been working hard on both the sequel to my Midnight Sparkle series, as well as the odd oneshot to fill the gap before then. As a result, today, you get one such goodie.

Quick Update on Secondo and the Future

Myello. It's me. Remember me? Hopefully.

I know this is overdue, and is kind of awkward to talk about since my second-to-last blog post was literally me talking about how I wanted to commit to regularly posting Secondo again and really hammer out the story properly.

    Secondo! (Took me long enough)

It only took like... a month? Ouch.

Yeah, I'm sorry everyone. I had a few ideas for how to continue after the previous chapter but none of them I felt went anywhere exciting. In the end, due to a combination of work, lack of other ideas, and having other freetime activities to focus on, I simply decided I'd go on a bit of a hiatus for a while.

I'm alive! · 9:45pm Aug 7th, 2022

Hello! Yes! I'm alive!

It's been a long time coming, huh? But yes, I do in fact still exist. Granted, the last uuuh...

Oh, wow, 2 years? Ouch.

Well, the last two years have been a rough and I suppose interesting ride for me. With the end of FiM as a show, I admittedly had put my interest for the site on the backburner, which then eventually fizzled out over time completely as I shifted my priorities (and interests/hobbies) elsewhere.

I never did give up on MLP as a fandom though, and always had Fimfiction in the back of my head, but had no ideas for any stories that would warrant me coming back here.

Until recently!

Thanks to the awesome folks at Equestria at War (please check it out, it's an awesome mod for HoI4 and probably the most high-quality MLP "game" you can play without it being deliberately censored due to Hasbro shenanigans), I got motivation again! Not just for anything, that is, but something rather specific.

Introducing 'Secondo', a tale of the Sirens breaking free from their ancient, thousands-old prison cast down by Starswirl to regain power and influence among the mortal races.

Specifically, the story is set in the EaW universe, so Rainbow Rocks and anything in the Human world never happened. Instead, the Sirens were cast into the depths of the ocean, far from civilisation at the time, where nopony would ever find them. Well, until eventually somepony does. And the Sirens are just a little bit mad about that imprisonment thing...

I hope to turn Secondo into another trilogy of a sort, like I did with my Solar Empire series before. This means that once the specific 'act' of the story of Secondo concludes, I'll look towards making a sequel, and so on. From personal experiences, I've been able to motivate myself much better when I divide up a grander story this way, since there's a feasible, realistic mark I reach, after which I can satisfyingly go and mark that one story 'complete'.

Secondo itself is not yet complete, and is due to receive a few more chapters. Probably 3, maybe up to 5. We'll see!

I hope you enjoy, and please don't hit me for literally not being here for 2 years? Eheh... :trollestia:
