I know I've been gone for a long time, but recently, this has been brought to my attention:

Apparently someone has gotten ahold of Scribbler's personal info via false copyright claiming, and is now using it to copyright strike other channels, leaving her to take the blame for it.
And I can’t get over how the protagonist acts almost exactly like Pharynx. Hell, he even kinda sounds like him too.

Watched a play through to get what you meant. From the first line spoken (in game) I heard it. It’s lacking in some lines later on (mostly the growl), but most of the time I can hear it (with or without it).

(And Ricky is my favourite character, now. He probably represents Pharynx’s interaction with every other Changedling ever)

He really does. The fact that Ricky is a sentient sock puppet and yet Gordon talks to him like he’s a regular human being makes it funnier.
I feel like Pharynx would make a pretty decent horror game protagonist. Especially in someone like Gordon’s situation.

I think the trend of MLP creepypastas died out long before Pharynx (and by extension Thorax, but Thorax’s position in the show has put him in a plushy little ravine of r/im14andthisisdeep angst/horror fics, regardless) was ever created.
Shame, seeing as I could either see Pharynx in the protag/victim role like Rainbow Dash in Cupcakes, or a psychopathic spiral role like Cheerilee in Cheerilee’s Garden. The Smile music video could also work, lol.
That, or Pharynx suddenly transforms into Indiana Jones, or even Ethan from Resident Evil (despite him sounding/acting more like
scrap metal daddyHeisenberg).Also, I can imagine Thorax writing something similar to the “Studio Rules” we see in the game, for Pharynx to follow around the Hive.

I actually used to have a Pharynx horror fic in the works. It focused on him going on a patrol outside the hive at night with some unseen creature lurking in the darkness. I never really posted it because, as much as a horror fanatic I can be, I’ve never really been good at writing horror myself.
I have to say, seeing Pharynx strapped to Pinkie’s table would be quite a sight. I’d probably read it only for the changeling anatomy puns lmao.
This is something I’ve got to see.

This feeling is mutual. I’ve never really had any personal inclination to write horror/thriller, nor do I have any idea how to start. Thriller—psychological, anyway—has always been something I’ve wanted to attempt, but I’ve never had a clue on where to begin.
Actually I was thinking more along the lines of Thorax’s bedpost. NOT IN THAT WAY. OH GOD.
Just Thorax, instead of Pinkie. Like how The Rainbow Factory ended up with Scootaloo and RD. Y’know, being siblings ’n’ all.
Unsurprisingly, it could either be something cutesy, or horror.
But, hey, hmu on the idea of you want.

One user said that people who are scared easily are the best horror writers. Since I’m someone who usually goes looking for horror, that could be why I’m not getting that spark of inspiration.

Not gonna lie, that’d be quite sad. Then again, I’ve read a few fics of Pharynx still being loyal to Chrysalis.

You know, I’ve always admired writers who can think up a scenario like that and be able to successfully pull it off without it feeling like a stretch. The same could be said for the opposite.

Well, in terms of non-MLP, there’s Doki Doki Literature Club. A horror game in the style of a romantic visual novel. The horror elements don’t really show up until one actually plays the game. And when they do show, they show a lot.
In terms of MLP fics, there’s a few horror fics that tend to have innocent-looking covers and description, but the story itself can get pretty damn disturbing once you look deep enough.
