Howdy,
I'm not sure anyone remembers that I even planned a rewrite for this story. But I did. It was a massive undertaking, correcting all the things that I didn't like about the first story. So, it is with tentative pride that I announce that the story is finished. And it was really something. To justify just how much has changed from the original, I feel safe to say that this new version is over 100k words longer than the original. This includes new scenes, changed up pacing, and a whole restructuring of the story as a whole.
As of this moment, I'm moving into editing mode for the story. And I'm ninety-nine percent sure that it won't take a year for this one.
This was a difficult journey, and all of you (if you're still here, that is) have waited patiently. I hope to be able to post the first chapter someday soon. Until then, don't lose hope. I promise that this will happen.
Thanks, and have a great day,
Arkane12
Still here m8!
🎼Never gonna give you up🎼
Nice! I recently stumbled upon the story again while looking for stuff to read and read getting worried, now I can look forward to reading the new version again.
Oh, I look forward to this. My memory is that the original was quite good, but could have benefited from a little more planning in advance, as the pacing was fairly inconsistent, and some threads seemed to disappear and reappear, leaving it tonally confused.
So I'm sure this will be great to read. Well done. Stick with it.
Thnaks for the news, i will be waiting
Looking forward to it.
This really motivates me to continue reading this story (for reasons of being busy and some procrastination, I hadn't finished it). Really looking forward to seeing the changes you've made!
I am very interested when you talk about changes in pacing and restructuring, it's precisely an aspect that I consider somewhat weak in the original version. This really gets me excited!
Thanks to you for the great story and dedication
