Heyo, I'm still alive!
As of right now, Chapter 40 is ~75% complete and more progress is being made! I don't have a fixed ETA planned as I settle into a new job again (did I mention I quit the retail one, because oh boy did I).
Still hoping to someday be comfortable getting back into equine work, but right now my brain and body need a break from the physicality and mental stress of being in an industry that facilitated so much negativity in my life over the past few years. Strangely enough my career took another hard left turn, this time into designing dental implants... which is weirdly *enjoyable.* Life is goofy. I'm learning to just let it be that way.
The pay isn't nearly as good as when I was a broodmare manager but hey, the schedule is fantastic (8-5 M-F who does that?!) and the people are awesome teachers. It's a breath of fresh air. <3
Bear with me as I adjust - I'm used to writing on my days off, but I'm going to try mixing in afternoons now too. Might not mean faster uploads but my brain sure likes this more!

;p I quit by locking my keys in the safe and letting the ex boss know via email I wouldn't be back. Safe lifting practices were being observed only when they didn't slow the workflow, and we were being asked to load 72" tool chests into customer vehicles without strapping the load to the forklift forks. Long story short, I gave my boss three opportunities to take steps to correct the lacking safety and was ignored. Normally I give 2 weeks notice, and this is my first time giving none. No regrets!

Been working in an automotive parts warehouse for 17 years, and they take safe workplace practices very seriously, especially in the last few years. If we did any of that shit and the bosses saw they would have our asses. Sounds like getting out of there was a good move.

I, unfortunately, and still very behind on FIMFiction. So... probably going to be a while. Especially given some of my story backlog is the currently most recent two chapters.
