I wouldn’t mind. Isn’t actually normal for ponies to form herds in real world settings? I think it wouldn’t be far fetched especially with how many descendents we have already come across. Plus wouldn’t it be feasible that Twilight and Sparkler would have another lover every generation to cherish because of their long life times?

I'm fine with it, in my own story "The Dragonfly Hive" the protagonist is in a herd with two Mares, which is going to be three later down the line.
So I'd say go for it.

Well the first two are named Bluebelle and her sister Diamond Dancer, both are nobles but they are the good kind, ones that would have no problem whatsoever about Sparkler being an Alicorn. Heck they'd be firmly on her side.
The third, ironically, is an Alicorn named Star Wing. She belongs to JNKing but we've been doing some collab stories. You might have seen one called "Survival of the Wolves", and we're currently working on another called "Star of the Sea".
