I Think Fluttershy or Pinkie Pie Should Be the Princess of Friendship · 5:43pm Mar 8th, 2022
I'm not trying to offend anyone who are fans of Twilight, either as a princess of friendship or as a character, but I personally don't think she fits as the princess of friendship.
Fluttershy is the nicest and most forgiving one out of the group, as well as the one who cares the most about other creatures besides just ponies.
Pinkie Pie, on the other hand, cares the most about making friends no matter who they are. She's also the second nicest out of the group.
Twilight, while she has reformed a few villains on her own like Starlight, Stygian, and Tempest and decided on the school of friendship for all creatures to attend, isn't really as forgiving or nice as the other two.
She's also prone to angry outbursts to the point of near murder multiple times.
The only reason why she did the aforementioned deeds might either be because the situations don't give her much of a choice or because she cares more about her own success than friendship or empathy and thinks that the reformed villains are more like tools rather than creatures with feelings, motives, and backstories like anyone else.
And she's prone to force friendship and change onto others against their freewill and thinking that she can control how they feel and think rather than let them choose it for themselves. Like when she decided to use a reforming spell on Discord before he ate it despite how wrong it was against his freewill or trying to make creatures like the vampire fruit bats stop eating the apples despite the fact that it might starve them to death. Maybe she either didn't know about that or thought there was no other way, but still.
And speaking of death, like the others, she either doesn't care about death or doesn't treat it as much of a big deal than it should despite the fact that death is permanent and is a very serious matter that should be treated with respect. As well as the fact that true heroes, or heroes in general, shouldn't enjoy killing nor treat it like a joke like she and the others did when they were content with killing King Sombra twice with no remorse and laughed at the Terrible Trio's fate. And when they get called out for things like this, they either try to deny it like it never happened or treat it like it's no big deal when it is a big deal and should be acknowledged.
I know I've been extremely harsh towards Twilight for a long while now and I'm not trying to make anyone upset by doing this, but I just wanted to get things like this off my chest and I thought that this was the best way for my thoughts to be shared. This is just my opinion. I know I might get hate for this and turn out to be completely wrong about Twilight, so if you disagree with me, that's fine. Here's the problem with all of this. Yes, this is true. But you're looking at this through the lens of non-royalty. Some of these did happen before Twilight became princess, yes. But the mindset was already there for her.
Sometimes, you do reprehensible things for the greater good, no matter how bad they might be. Do you think Celestia and Luna did not do things that would sicken ponies? Of course, they did. It comes with being a ruler.
Fluttershy and Pinkie, for all their good, could never do them. And Equestria would pay for it in some way. Plus giving Pinkie that kind of power is just asking for a disaster of epic proportions. Good or bad, I don't know. But it is asking for it,

Okay, genius. Then explain how Hasbro could bring the subject up, and not cause an absolute shitstorm? It is a very sensitive subject. There's a reason why Applejack's parents being dead was never brought up (even when it's clear they are). There is no good way to do it.

This is just what propagandists say. The truth of the matter is that evil actions are never justified. The rulers of the world want you tp believe they are, so that you don’t think of all the US Presidents in our life times as psychopathic child murderers, but it’s what they are. None of their evil actions were justified, but every single one do it, primarily for increased power and financial incentives. A good person never does something like this. It is never and has never been necessary.
