Hey!
Its me, the self proclaimed shoddy writer!
Ive got a question for you all.
Patreon. Its a thing I've been tinkering with a little, but before I get too far down that road, I figured I would ask the lovely and exponentially more knowledgeable users of thus site, if its even a thing I can attach to this account.
And even if it is, is it something y'all would be interested in?
I mean, Im loving writing again, but writing doesn't keep my bills paid -- at the moment, anyway, since all I write is fanfiction.
So, im being bad with my words, but, is this a thing that I can do, and would any of you support it? I for one would love to be able to focus on my writing more, and Im fairly sure there are a few of you who want to read what I make.
Anywho, thanks for giving this a read, I gotta go to work, see you in the next story update!
While I personally am unable to spend money, I'm certain plenty of fans of your work would be able to support you on patron, or even Ko-fi
If you decide to make a patreon I wouldn't mind supporting.
If there will be chapters ahead of time(not edited) will be fun.
Also a Q&A on a discord chat would be fun
Minecraft server is a must and if you need someone to host I will host it and help with plugins.
Short answer: yes.
Slightly longer answer: As much as I enjoy your content, given your follower count, I don't expect a significant paycheck yet. But it's probably still worth setting up. Plus, it will grow as you become more well known.
There are a few options, pateron is a commonly used one. But be warned, random complaints can get your account there canceled. I've heard of people who got banned for silly things. I also know of people that have been pretty successful there too. So 🤷♂️.
No matter which donation method you choose, I think you can expect at least some support from your readers.
Patreon is good if there's enough Rewards to be reasonable to pay monthly. But incase some people don't want to pay monthly they is also buy me a coffee which people can donate to you and get benefits for donating to.
