I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:
Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.
So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.
These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.
First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.
SPG! I watched them perform in Balboa Park in San Diego back when they were just a local busking band that happened to have a memorable theme! Somewhere I have a (pre-transition) picture of me with one of their band members from ComicCon International.
I've always found The Spine hypnotic to watch when he finds his energy. Just really good at blending organic and inorganic movements to get a sense of a puppet trying to look human, rather than a human trying to look like a puppet.
I have Steamworld: Heist and Battleborn to thank for introducing me to this band. The song that plays during the credits of Heist is still my favorite. (SPG actually appears in Heist as NPCs playing some of their songs in taverns) Wonder if they've done game soundtracks since then? I haven't really been following them, I just know they exist and like the work I've seen.
I'm a Patreon patron of SPG, but I lost my enthusiasm for them a year or 2 ago, when Bunny posted that long, venomous post explaining that they were editing a former band-member out of old videos because he'd flirted with groupies who were like 4 years younger than him and of the age of consent. She called him a monster because she didn't approve of the age difference. It seemed like a Stalinist reaction, and hypocritical.
Ah, SPG. I discovered them just a few years ago. Good stuff.
Love me some SPG. Mark III is my favorite album of theirs.

Steam Powered Giraffe has changed a ton over the years.
Unfun fact: they were one of the groups that was supposed to play at DashCon before everything went to complete

This is one of my favorites!
