    What next?

I don't know if I've mentioned this in a comment or not, but I've finished "They're home." The weekly updates will continue until the end, although I'll be messing around with upload times just to show the story on the "Recently updated" front page to people visiting the site at various times. It should be roughly six more chapters. As for major events and depth of feeling, this one is more about

Blow struck to the parasites of the gaming industry - publishers

In the name of truth and liberty!

I'm proud of PC gamers showing what gaming really is, not just buying proprietary console software and being happy to get a scrap of a good game once in a while. Despite all the automaton sympathizers and bug lovers defending their corporate daddy, we have finally won a battle in the long and losing war of game quality.

    Does anyone play Darktide?

Just curious, does anyone here play Darktide? My group kinda dissolved and it's not as fun when playing solo anymore.

    What started the drone-centric stories

Nothing interesting this time, just two pictures that sparked my idea about hive drones in general. We haven't reached the chill Chrysalis stage yet, but who knows how things will be by book 12 or something. Anyway, the cover I made for They're Everywhere is based on pic 2, but no matter how I tried making pixelart with the right kind of feel for books 2 and 3, it kinda sucked so I stuck to

Good luck, everyone, going into 2024

So, I've been sitting in front of the screen for the good part of fifteen minutes, figuring out what to say for the now usual end of the year recap, and I've got nothing. Much like any time I try to push On Holiday forward, the empty page just laughs at me.

A question for They're EVERYWHERE! · 6:08am Aug 6th, 2021

I'm working on the next chapter of TE. This one brings us back to the future and to the changeling survivors inside the dreamscape.
387 is about to share a little bit of his past while the group is preparing for their next step and my question is:

Is there something specific about changeling history you'd like to know? A specific queen/era/anything, really.

I know Chrysalis' chapters cover a lot but they can't cover everything and have a specific point of view. Plus, they're meant to give an overall historical perspective rather than anything too focused.

EDIT: I'll ponder the brought up topics and the viability of 387 knowing about them for some time. I might merge some together. We'll see. Currently, I'm toying with a queen who might not have enough exposure in Bugbutt'S chapter but the first responses are interesting so far.

The first kill.
Call for adventure.
I mess up the numbers too often so I dunno.

Cryo. Maybe I've missed something along the way while catching up with the rest of your fics, but I'd like to know more about Cryo before In The Halls Of The Changeling King.

That and whoever the first rank One was. Given what the first generation of changelings were, I'd imagine their rank One was interesting.

How did queens resist idiotadorablenes of drones?

No matter how much of a smiley face you draw on a hammer, if it breaks you'll buy a new one. I don't think this one would make much of a content.

387 wouldn't know about Cryo after her betrayal at Canterlot, so potentially only earlier.
Early rank 1, now that's a pontential topic.

387 is the warrior who knows suspiciously too much about history, significantly more than the highest-ranked ling in this story - 156.
He won't answer a personal topic about himself, he shot down 156 before. The topic should be about changelings overall.

The kill that let the ponies make the Templar knights

I like what your doing so far so more than likely I'll be happy with what you decide

Ho drones happened. Infiltrators and soldiers seems like they don't know much about drones. Which was mentioned in latest chapters. Maybe a moment, when drones happened or when common knowlendge about drones was lost?

You've mentioned glitterbugging before, maybe you could expand further on that. I get it's meant to be a joke, but maybe you could tie it back to the original butterfly-changeling things or whatever their name was again. It just seems like it could be an interesting if not just more entertaining part of changeling lore.

Their origins I am most curious about. How exactly does a species of love eating creatures come about? Was it a natural evolution that started with wild animals before moving on to more intelligent food sources? Or were they created by magic, either naturally or another species cursed to feed but never feel love?
