Sex with kids is dangerous, traumatic, and unethical. Nopony currently on Fimfiction is advocating for this.
Bullying is bad. Most people who reacted to PC did so appropriately; criticism is not bullying. There was still plenty of bullying.
Being against evil doesn't make you good. (Hemmingway) This absolutely applies to both of the above.
I'm familiar with bullying. I deal with it on Twitter for being trans. I deal with it here even more. There's a troll in the comments of my recent story, angry that anypony would cast canon characters as transgender. Another user read through and downvoted the deeply personal stories offered by transgender commenters.
PC is one of few people who reached out to me to offer support when I was being bullied. They're very wrong about the dangers of sex with kids, and it's important they understand that, but I have empathy for what they must be going through and I don't hate them.
Several people on Fimfiction continue to attack PC, joke about the suicide, openly celebrate, and make armchair-psychology diagnoses to slander PC and condemn the empathy and character of the good people who intervened to save them.
Be better than this.
Since many of you may not know what's been going on, again, taken from Trick Question's comment found within the blog...
A user wrote a story about an adult and a child with feelings for each other and submitted it to the Pride and Positivity event. Many people responded to note (correctly) that actual sex with kids is a very bad thing and is not at all comparable to LGBT relationships.
Other people openly bullied the author until they left a suicide note, and a few people here intervened to prevent the suicide. They didn't go through with it, but they did delete their account and stories.
Most of the people who have commented on this have done so responsibly, but there have been a number of bullies and opportunists.
Oh...so, the Gods of Cancel Culture are not automatically good people ?

Okay, so I'm sorry but I'm going to have to block you. You tend to behave a bit too illogically for me to put up with. I think it might be best to also delete this comment from the blog. I ask others to kindly ignore it, too.
I go by a fundamental rule: If you simply just can't say something nicely, and in a friendly manner, then just don't say anything at all.
