    Drugs are bad, m'kay?

I'm not joking... I justly had no choice but to watch what it did to my sister's husband who used to be my roommate.

"Just FYI..." (I need to vent)

"You can't go around telling people that they're not doing a good job, and that they should just quit, or give up especially if they're still new. They just might and leave your sorry excuse all alone to the ravenous wolves."

So, let's talk about time and the 90's

I've been hearing a lot of talk lately about how time has changed, and that there's not enough of it anymore, or that it seems like we have shorter and shorter days. I've even had people debating with me about how it's not because they're getting old.

Okay, might be strange for just a second, but let's briefly go back in time, then, to the 90's.

I've edited Dr. Rare quite a bit

I'm actually having loads of fun writing this. I've added an intro and an outro song for each of the prologues and epilogues and changed the chapter titles to reflect the show amongst other things. If you haven't already, please go check this story out. Dr. Rare is what I'm most actively working on at this point in time.

"You can't go around telling people that they're not doing a good job, and that they should just quit, or give up especially if they're still new. They just might and leave your sorry excuse all alone to the ravenous wolves."

I never wanted those words to leave my lips, but here we are. The person that I had to tell this to had to work without hardly any assistance save from myself, and as a result, he walked out from the job on me as well.

Firstly, I'd like to say a few truths. Covid has formidably ruined protocol within... I'd say 80% of all commercial business fronts. From the low McDonalds/Wendy's food chain lines to official high-end restaurants and other such businesses such as banks and outbound/inbound call professions. There is literally little to no official training anymore anywhere and at least imo this really needs to change. I don't just say this for the minor working class, I also say this to the middle aged and older. I have been dealing with multiple industries lately ever since getting back to work myself and in my line of work, and I'm extremely sorry to say that things have finally gotten out of control. It's extremely socially awkward and nearly impossible to force particularly new individuals to learn such complex duties within such stupidly short amounts of time.

It's not going to work. You're going to be the one with all of the work, all alone.

Now, something else that would help is if more people out there in the world at least got back to work doing something. Everywhere is understaffed. Everywhere. Period.

It's sad to see so many individuals still refusing to get back to it, and as a result, those that do are in for hell. I'm not surprised by any of this, but rather just mortified and depressed that the world (not just one nation, but pretty much the whole world) is going through such harsh and unforgiving times.

Oh, and we're all pretty much doing it to ourselves.

worst part is, companies have been under training since well before the pandemic started, too, it's just gotten more pervasive, a bad priority exacerbated by tightening bottom lines

glad im working a trade and not in the service industry

any new guys quit its just more OT for me, yeah it sucks but OT is OT although my situation is vastly different form
yours it sounds like so im probably the exception and not the rule

5720418 Just as an example...
More hours/OT is nice but really only for those who are in the field that allows the work to be done regardless of the actual count of employees there are during operation. A McDonalds worker that gets OT but has to run the store practically all by himself or herself would say that it still isn't enough of an income for the amount of work that they ultimately would end up doing.

So be sure to go to college, kids!

collage or trade school if your ok with specialist manual labor

Hasn't been for decades. You were running off experienced staff training the noobs. That was lost. Now you've got some noob who read the corporate manual once (which, despite making terrible toilet paper, would be better as toilet paper) trying to train the newer noobs. Good luck with that. Corporate doesn't know how to train anyone either.

Industry doesn't know how to train anyone, that's why they keep yelling about college and university. College and university don't know how to train anyone, they're diploma mills. School (at least on the admin side) doesn't even try anymore.

Good thing I've already bought my revolver & shotgun.

It is my opinion that Society has been rotting from the inside out for a long time now, it's just now starting to collapse in on itself due to lack of support. From family life to the education system to employment, anything we try now to fix it is like putting a Band-Aid over an infection. I don't think the powers-to-be can even identify where the problems start. They'll probably just try throwing money at the problems they created by throwing money at their problems.

I'd say it started in roughly the 70's or 80's. By the 90's, it was clear there was a definitive problem that everyone merely decided to shrug off, and hoped would simply go away with time.
