Question. Gods fighting or no? · 4:50am Dec 27th, 2020
Quick question for anyone who cares. Would you guys find it interesting if another lesser god were to side with the Human Kingdom against Silvanus, or if multiple gods sided with the Human Kingdom while multiple other gods sided with Silvanus essentially sparking a war that divides the lower levels of their pantheon in half? Or should the rest of the gods remain neutral? Also, on a mostly unrelated note, would you like to see the god(s) of the MLP universe get involved with the story at all?
If yes to the first idea, then what type of god? I was considering a god or goddess of technology as a sort of classic clash between nature vs technology, but since people seem to have drawn parallels between this story and Warhammer 40k I'm not so sure about that one. I mean if you have gods of technology then you have to have spirits of technology and well... You see my problem with that idea?
Now I obviously don't have any issue with the W40k memes, in fact I love Warhammer and find them absolutely hilarious! That being said, I'm really not trying to make a story about a universe that's just a crappy off brand knock off of Warhammer 40k. If I was then I wouldn't have bothered making up my own universe and would have just made a W40k crossover with a Magos Dominus that accidentally ended up getting sucked into a warp portal during a daemonic invasion or something. So yeah, I'm thinking I'm probably not going to be including any machine gods or spirits of any sort. At least I think I would prefer not to unless people seem to want it and have no issues with it.
As for the other two questions, I think I can figure out how to incorporate a large scale war between a whole bunch of gods on my own. Same in regards to figuring out how to actually get the gods of the MLP universe to give enough of a crap to bother getting involved with petty mortal affairs. After all the sudden rise of power of three or four demigods could be a really good motivator to get them curious as to just what the hell is going on down there.

Well, since you made "Gears" as the ponies want to call it hahaha, let it be known that there are forest spirits in the EverFree, it gave me the guidelines to think that somehow the gods of MLP were going to get involved, now ... I can't help but notice that basically all the gods of MLP would have to be absolutely furious against ponies, especially against Moon and Celestia, considering that they have the of pet stars, which from any angle creates imbalance to the planet.

I haven't read the story yet, but it got my attention, I may read it later, also as to involving other gods, if you do add a god/goddess of technology, I suggest this deity being very young-like as they recently became a part of the pantheon and most likely assist humanity.
I also suggest another deity much older, a god of weapons who's been around since the first weapon was created and he'll stay neutral - as to why, surprise me.
Anyway, your story idea seems pretty cool, I'll keep tabs on it from now on.
