Does anyone remember four chapters ago where I talked about, 'we're reaching endgame here, folks'? I was jumping the gun a little bit with that statement, then. 
However, tonight, I've laid out the remaining chapters as titled, unpublished entries waiting to be filled with horse words. So now that I have a working remainder, I no longer think it's preemptive to say we're coming to the end. 
The down and low of it is this:
- There are four more chapters to go in the meat of the story, i.e, story-relevant chapters.
- After that, there are four epilogues which vary greatly in what they cover, but are all extremely relevant and needed to wrap things up. I'm not a fan of massive chapters, so it's going to be four epilogues instead of just one that closes in on 15k words
After that, I'll be giving updates on the book format once the editing process is done (right now I have someone in mind). Expect an eventual blog about how to buy a copy.
After that? Consider me open indefinitely for oneshot commissions. 
MLP stopped being my lead, 24/7 live and breathe fandom sometime last year, and I've now reached a point where I feel I'll have written enough about Thorax and the changelings by the time KoLB is done. Of course, as many writers on here can attest, this singular writing site about one show is more feedback-active than any of the leading fanfiction sites on the internet. 
That's reason enough to say that I don't ever plan on voluntarily vanishing completely.
Thing is, I want to begin focusing my spare time writing process on things like paid blog writing for experience and crafting my own original stuff (slowly but surely) for eventual show pitches. MLP has inspired me to pursue cartoon writing. 
Bought FinaDraft 11 earlier this week and plan on learning the screenwriting format soon. Currently in school to get my degree for such.
So, I know the end of KoLB will be sad for a lot of you, but that's partly why I wanted to create it as a book, once all is said and done. 
Everyone, me included, can hold onto it as a memento if it means as much to you as it has meant for me.
Any of what's been said here is subject to change given unforeseen life things, but this is the current plan.

We will publish the cutest Thorax story ever seen by this fandom. 
Sad it's coming to an end in the near future, but it's been a great ride! Can't wait to buy the book copy!

Oh wow so this is it I guess a good story needs to end somewhere it's been a really a wild ride with your story when I discover this a while back still this was pretty cool
