Deleted Scene: "The Disney Princess" · 9:47am Nov 21st, 2020
This slowed me down from getting to the conflict between Shining and Flurry, and appeared right at the beginning when faffing about slowly is extra dangerous, so I removed this scene. However, it was too silly to throw away:
Just outside the security area, Sunburst levitated up his iPad, and he and Twilight looked at their agenda. The unicorn family removed their corks, the infant in the carrier giggling and clapping his hooves. Snow Day and Flurry Heart sat on a bench, whispering to each other. Flash Sentry and an Orlando Police detective—both in plain clothes—stood at a respectful distance, watching the crowds.
Flash Sentry and the rest of the security ponies had tried to veto the entire trip, on the grounds that Florida Man was still at large. The detective had simply put on his sunglasses and looked away when Flash tried to address the supervillain's whereabouts, however.
A hippogriff 'tween walked up to them, her parents standing a few steps back. "Hi! I'm Buckbeak!"
"Buckbeak?" Flurry said. "Really?"
"Well, my name's Tide Pool, but I go by Buckbeak. Are you two going to Hogwarts at Universal?"
"Flurry Heart! What's Universal? We're going to Disney."
"Awwww," Tide Pool said. The hippogriff tugged at a scarlet and gold scarf around her neck. "Not Harry Potter fans?"
"Star Wars," Flurry said.
"Star Wars and Finding Nemo," Snow Day said.
"Finding Nemo is unrealistic," Tide Pool said. "Reef fish are actually—" but then her head snapped right, feathery ears perking up. Her wings trembled and her eyes widened. Flash Sentry and the Orlando detective both looked in that direction, eyes narrowing.
"Stairs!" Tide Pool shouted. "Moving stairs!" She flew away towards the bank of escalators.
That's silly.
I love it.
Aw, would have loved to see Tide Pool make it but, I understand why she was left out.
An understandable cut, but there's some fantastic stuff here. Florida Man must be stopped!
typical. buy a child the most expensive toy in town and they will play with the box.
Idea: a side-story where various MLP characters complain that Harry Potter is too unrealistic.
Thanks for the deleted scene. Lots of fun.
