Early New Year's resolutions, and Old Year's conclusions

Well, another year's come and gone. How did the resolutions go? Half and half in my case. Managed to partially accomplish what I set out to do, moving from wondering how to do things to figuring out what to do. I believe I've successfully identified the habits that are hampering or even harmful to me, so that's progress.

    Resolutions for the new year?

Summer update 2: What's Sticking to the Wall?

    Quick update on future plans.

Still working on the original stuff, I think I'm down to the last rewrite of what I wanted to do, only question is what to change in terms of details. Art's had some progress, but work responsibilities and sweet, sweet sleeping problems have caused disruptions.

    Summer update: what next?

Honestly? Not sure. I never publish anything that's not complete, so I'm not breaking any promises there. Thing is, I haven't started on anything new yet, and hadn't lined anything up before the previous one.

Hey all. Just a quick heads-up I'll probably go radio silence on Friday again. I have no interest in the spectacle that's about to follow, or the fallout it'll cause on this site and any social media. Got a few accounts I need to delete, too, but that's neither here nor there. If there's anything to say before that, may as well get it over with now. I'm also not interested in accusations of being things I'm not (again) or having to deal with toxicity in a place where I'm trying to escape it. Nobody knows nor cares what I am, and that is as it should be for the most part, except when people fill in the blanks instead of doing actual research.

I need a break, anyway, probably would even if things weren't happening the way they are. These places are bad for me, and it's personal responsibility to minimise the effects. I still haven't recovered from my breakdown. Maybe I never will. I hope to, though. Probably something obscenely mundane and easy to solve with a bit of willpower.

Any warlocks out there with patrons looking to recruit? I have some basic skills in sigils normal and hyper, and am not averse to calamares. No experience with Ouija boards, but have tarot deck, willing to learn in exchange for eldritch knowledge. Permanent boons only, no backsies, must be prepared to suffer rules lawyering, as stipulated in the "Flooding 'Neathslander" race and background pages.

Anyway, joking side note aside: signing out on Friday, I'll be back around halfway December, most likely. Just puttin' it out there now in case anyone's got any questions, however unlikely that is.

As always, song unrelated. I promise.

By the way, dude who sings that has a great channel, does some home decorating too, he's worth checking out.

Cracker out.

Hey, if you do find any patrons, let me know, especially if they're up for face-to-Euclidean-avatar's-face contract negotiation.

Will do, though I suspect I'll be at a disadvantage compared to you, or your Best Pone avatar. After all, she has eyes that can see in two places at once, so she'd actually be able to look one of those entities in the eyes proper.

...oh, gods, I just made another plot bunny, didn't I? Dang things keep breeding out of control.

Hope your time off proves restful. I'm tempted to follow your idea and make my own rabbit hole honestly.

A suggestion:

In 5e, there is a subclass of Warlock that can have a Celestial as a patron.

In 5e, unicorns are Celestials.

Therefore...

A Warlock with Twilight Sparkle as a Patron.

... who said anything about DnD :pinkiecrazy:?

But speaking of, I've just gotten to the Critical Role episodes around when they did their Tails of Equestria oneshot and... I really just want a proper Pillar-era Equestria sourcebook. Proper dungeons and combat, unique classes and feats for ponies, that sort of thing. Maybe that's just laziness and needing to make something original.

I don't want to resort to pop magic again, either. It'd be a little too cringey even for my tastes, and it'd have the same 'blood magic' problem: if I were good enough to pull that off, I'd be good enough not to need it in the first place. Still, keeping it in mind as a suggestion, might prove useful.

Huh, I had no idea they did Tails of Equestria. I'm not a fan of CR, though. Because when you get a room full of professional voice actors in a role-playing game... they never shut the fuck up. Like, I get it, you can improve, but for the love of God do something!

Yeah, agreed. It's nice as idle entertainment, not something to get invested in. It has its moments, though.
