The Worst Muse

The total is now seventeen in-process fics in the queue, and I still haven't made any progress on three out of four of my targets.

I think maybe I'm bad at this.

Hey, there's a terrible alternative. I spent all of 2017 with writer's block and no ability to write anything. Not a single one of my fics updated. 2018 was similarly lethargic until The Maretian and Changeling Space Program reinvigorated my desire to write, followed by...well, without going into detail, I read two other good fics an three atrocious fics that reminded me how much I love the actual art of telling stories.

My muse often let's me just write a few paragraphs about a new idea and tuck it away for later in the file with ideas that I will most definitely get around to writing some day don't look at me like that of course I will don't be ridiculous oh yeah well you're the liar why would I say that well how about that one story you promised me would be great but fell completely flat oh no don't pin that on me I wrote it just fine you just had me mash together a bunch of things that didn't work well with each other no you shut up no you you.

Alright. We're taking some time apart. Maybe I'll see a new muse. What? No. I'm sure she'll understand. This is what she meant. I think. It'll be fine. When have Greek gods ever been jealous? Oh. Yeah. Hm. Maybe... Crap.
