A Couple New Minifics · 8:32pm Jul 13th, 2020

So! Back in December, I said this:

in 2020, I'm going to gussy up and post as many of those stories as I can, either as stand-alone short stories or in my minific collection, Bantam Tales.

Well, it's taken a while, but I'm starting to fulfil that resolution. I just posted two stories to my minific collection. Both are fables, though one is serious and the other is, er, slightly less so. Anyway, The Greatest Treasure and The Dragon of Hoofholt are now both up, and you can read them if you head over to the last two "chapters" of Bantam Tales.

I'd meant to get cracking on this all earlier in the year, obviously, but... well, when I made that pledge, I was thinking it would be after February/March testing was done. As you may have heard, there were some major world events that happened right after that. So, in case you're wondering: figuring out how to do classes entirely online is a lot of work, especially when you're just thrown into it unexpectedly in the middle of the school year!

(No, seriously, you would not believe how many people seem to think that transitioning to all-distance learning somehow meant teachers and school staff were doing less work. The mind boggles)

Anyway, the important thing is I was clever enough to give myself plenty of time, so I'm not even late! In the not-too-distant future, look for two more fics, both of which are long enough that I'll publish them as stand-alones once I'm done getting them cleaned up. One is a misdirection-mystery, the other's a dark comedy--two genres I don't currently have represented in my FiMFic oeuvre. So that's coming!

But in the meantime, you've got a couple minifics to sate your need for more Chris stuff. Hope you enjoy.
