A question for fans of The Longest Night · 8:51pm Nov 22nd, 2012
So, as I've said in previous blogs, the side-quel to 'The Longest Night' is just about totally ready to go. It's still just missing cover art while I wait for the artist I commissioned to finish prior commitments and get to work on the art I've commissioned.
Now, the question is; Should I post the story now without cover-art, with temporary art plucked from the aether of the interwebz, or continue to wait until the art I've paid for is ready?
I really want to share 'Myths and Birthrights' as I'm really excited for this story (I've been writing chapter 3 today, and it's just flowing so beautifully at the moment. 3.5k words written in the last 24 hours). I could give out the link to the un-published story for those who read my blogs (Thank you all, by the by!). That's a possibility I am seriously considering as well. I'm practically bouncing off the walls from wanting to share the story and having to hold it back.
Oh, something else that I forgot to add last blog was the link to the deviant art page for the wonderful gift art I received. Total face-desk move on my part forgetting that. So here it is: Tiger Bloom Fan Art page. If you enjoyed the art, please go and tell the artist.
Lastly, I thought I would at least share the current synopsis for 'Myths and Birthrights'. Unless one of my editors thumps me over the back of the head with a carp (deadliest weapon known to otter-kind), it's almost guaranteed that it'll be going live in its present form.
As her twenty-first birthday dawns, Twilight Sparkle finds her simple life turned upside down. While her birthright forces itself into her life, Twilight also has to deal with the arrival of three Alicorns. No pony knows where they came from or what they want, and the Alicorns seem intent on keeping themselves and their purposes hidden. The only hint Twilight and her friends have are memories and terrible dreams that begin to plague the other Elements of Harmony, and Fleur de Lis, hinting at a past torn by the horrors of war. It is a past that couldn't possibly exist. After all, Celestia isn't blind, Luna wasn't trapped in Tartarus for a thousand years along with Fluttershy, and Applejack's never killed anypony.
Side-quel to The Longest Night.
Thanks everyone for your patience and putting up with my constant yammering blogs.
I'd say wait for the cover art, it really helps.
Yay! Looking forward to the story!!!
YAY!!!
Personally I don't mind waiting if you feel like you should wait for the cover art to be finished. But... I also wouldn't mind reading it now either!
I can wait. Don't see any problem. dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/shrug_Twilight_future.png
what ever you decide you got my support.
Wait for the cover art.
Learn from me. Never pussy without cover art.

Seems to be rather unanimous; Cover art is a must. While, guess it's back to the waiting game then. *sigh* Patience, not my strongest attribute.
528337 No worries! Just think of it as a chance to get further ahead with your next chapter! Or as a chance to take a break! ...OR... A PARTY!!!

No, no, no.
Don't wait around, start on the next story!
Saving the world every other week apparently constitutes a simple life.
528362
It does! Totally! >.> .... <.< It's certainly not a crazy hectic filled life filled with high adventure, monologuing villains, and cake, that's for sure!
Wait.
I don't wanna wait! But I guess is for the best of the story, art does help.
528367 At least Sombra didn't monologued, and I love him for that.

Poor Sombra. He had like a total of two lines. 'Crystals!' and 'Noooooooo!' On the plus side; he's a total tabula rasa for writers to get thier groove on with.
Who's doing the art?

Ruhje is doing the art.
