Remember that time I blogged about winning the Flashfic competition, or that other time I did?
Well, I won it again. There were something like a dozen entries, and I was a bit surprised, too, because this particular story I thought was kinda hit or miss, but I guess it hit this time. Part of it was the Rarity/Sweetie Belle dialog...
It is the latest chapter (Glitching) in Sweetie Belle's Short Stories, and the other ones are all chapters in that anthology, too, since Flashfics are 150 words or less, and I put almost all my under 1000 word stories there. There are some stories I'm fairly proud of in there!
You could also go over to the contest thread, which has not only my story, but all the stories for this month. The theme this time was "I'm Flying Without Wings".
Every month, the Flashfic competition posts a theme chosen by the last winner, and you've got up to the 21st of that month to write a story related to the theme that's 150 words or less. I actually recommend participating. It's a lot of fun, and you really do learn a bit about writing when you try to squeeze a complete story into 150 words. Next month's theme is going to be "Dream A Little Dream", since I picked it!

It is a pretty interesting contest. When you just wrote a 180 word story and have to hunt through trying to find 30 words you can get rid of, you really learn how much can be said with a little and what's not necessary...
