Hitting People (What I was taught) · 1:36am May 18th, 2020
Still don't think any of you are going to learn from any of this (Given my experiences with you) but anyway.
Long ago I was taught by my teachers, my elders, even my own siblings:
It is wrong to hit people (Throw the first punch, or trying to attack someone). I agree. No matter how much you may want to, it is wrong.
It doesn't matter what is said, or if someone is annoying... YOU DON'T HIT.
the only time you actually should hit someone is...
-In self-defense: When someone is trying to pick a fight with you (They throw the first punch) and you can't get away, and you need to defend yourself.
-To help someone: You see someone beating someone up wrongfully, then you can intervene.
But I was taught, that if YOU throw the first punch, then it IS YOU who instigating the fight, and therefore PUTS YOU in the wrong, even if the person you hit was egging you on, and may have deserved it, it IS YOU who is in the wrong. (you don't throw the first hit)
EXAMPLE: "STARFLEET HUMANS"
When Lightning and Celestia had their brawl. True, Lightning was being a bit of a jerk to her, insulting her and really getting on her nerves, which prompted Celestia to attack him, Celestia still had no right to do that! The second she lunged at him... SHE instigated that fight, SHE DID WRONG!
She broke the laws of conduct while on the job, as well as having a bad history of a bad temper and fits of rage on her record.
Lightning defended himself by attacking her back, and Celestia lost her job for going too far. (Lightning wasn't let off the hook that much either; he suspended from school)
the point is... (While I know a lot of you think Lightning deserved it, and would have hit him anyway SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE HIM)
They would deal with Lightning and what he did... but what Celestia did was wrong too. She had no right to start the attack, REGARDLESS of what Lightning was saying to her. (Not saying Lightning is justified, but Celestia was also unjustified)
Even Raven, when she hits Beast Boy on Trouble in Tokyo.
It doesn't matter if she finds him annoying, all he did was point out where the enemy was located all along (That can hardly be considered annoying) Yet some of you think he deserved to get smacked anyway.
-Even at the end, all he did was suggest they go to Mexico. IT'S JUST A FLIPPING SUGGESTION... yet you all think that warrants a slap too?
Rainbow Dash tempting to hit Masquerade herself (But she was held back)
Declan Akkaba: "A Duelist settles their issues with a duel, not their fists!"
Raven deserves to be smacked herself, which is why I enjoy beating her around in my fics.
I know... I know... It's hypocritical, and I admit it is. Now BB would be the one throwing that first punch, and that puts him in the wrong, but still... however wrong it may be... I think Raven deserved it for all the bad ways she was to him (Even her powers and holding it back are NO EXCUSE)
-She only should hit him if he tries to hit her first
-Or he's wailing on someone and she's trying to help.
...But the way she smacks him around for BEING RIGHT, or making a SIMPLE SUGGESTION. That's where she went wrong... Very wrong!
That's what I was taught about Hitting People in real life.
Ah well, I tried to explain it, but I'm sure you'll all stay the same, ("BB was annoying, so he deserved to be slapped") Alright... then I'll keep thrashing the other characters (Especially Raven) around.
As for Masquerade giving Raven that finishing blow in their... Just wait until the next chapter...
