A couple of Snippet Series fanart pieces: Speedy Recovery and Stock Image · 10:44pm Apr 17th, 2020
Just a blog post to showcase a pair of doodles (one bust and one fullbody) done for free by friendly artists on the MLP Subreddit.
First up is Speedy Recovery from Three Bolded Words, the most well-received thing I've so far written. Even for a throwaway sketch, I think the mussed-up mane and meek smile nicely capture the relief she felt after Lightning Dust chose not to beat the snot out of her. Even better though, the pic showcases her colors and nurse's uniform, something the fic's narration never quite found the opportunity to describe.
The second pic shows skittish little Stock Image from my second most popular Snippet: Not Scary. The artist amusingly got my name wrong in the upper corner (you get what you pay for with a free pic), but they also drew the wannabe Scourge Of The Academy two times: First with her fog feet from the fic, and then with regular legs so her Cutie Mark is visible. I think I'll contrive a way for her to appear in that imitation of her living self should she appear in a future Snippet installment. Maybe have a line explaining Fluttershy's encouragement is helping the shifty specter overcome spinelessness in more ways than one.
