I still can't work out why you can't. I just tried (logged out) and both the Name/URL and Anonymous commenting options worked fine as long as I clicked the "I'm not a robot" button. It's bizarre. I did edit the settings to remove word verification, so that might help you, but don't get your hopes up.
(Also, I did. And I didn't get up until after nine today, so I did get plenty of sleep!)

Hurrah for sleep! And as for comments, it doesn't let me get as far as "I'm not a robot" - hitting either Publish or Preview just resets the whole empty comment box. I'm quite sure it's at my end and not yours, but I have no idea why - but I'm still reading avidly, at any rate!
