2020 Clarion applications close March 1

Every year for the past 7 years, I've organized people to fund a scholarship for any fimfiction writer who's accepted to Clarion, or a small number of similar writing workshops. Every year, no one from fimfiction applies.

So, I'm not going to ask people ahead of time to pledge to this scholarship fund. But I will point out that applications to Clarion are open until March 1, and that I expect (but don't guarantee) that people here would raise in the area of $1000 to support anyone who's accepted to Clarion, under the terms described in my 2018 post.

Six weeks. Ye gads. I feel like such a stick-in-the-mud. I wish I could mail a check back to my unemployed 1987 self who could actually pry loose the time. I'm with you on any fundraising needed, but I can't pry my old corpus free, even if it were in Kansas City where I could just drive up.
