    *eye roll*

me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

SCP Foundation in Danger! Russian man files fraudulent trademark! · 4:26pm Jan 27th, 2020

Okay, so... um, yeah. Now, I'm not a fan of the SCP foundation, at least a die-hard one but I have listened to a few of their stuff and as a fellow author I can understand the rage.

(Also, Mark is best internet dad.)

Well the troll is Russia and sadly this is a cultural thing and they don't see anything wrong with it. I hope they can win this and learn from it. A YouTube channel that I occasionally watch had their content stolen by a Brazilian channel and when called out for it they copyrighted their video and tried to claim the other was stealing their stuff. I am surprised that they hadn't protected their property earlier even if they are a fan ran site.

Plot Twist: This guy is the real SCP-001.

Kinda hard to copyright protect literal millions of fan contributions and collabs. Which is exactly what the SCP Foundation is: an entirely fan made, ran, moderated, and controlled database of ideas by millions, if not billions of individuals.

However they could have copyrighted the name of the site. That would have prevented part of this mess as they could set it up kinda like how Wikipedia is set up.

Oh yeah this dude, even Russian scp community hate him for making a trademark, me as well :flutterrage::twilightangry2:

Glad to see some one else posting about this, I can't donate as I don't have the funds but signal boosting help.

Posted another video on my blog that delves further into the Russian and how he thinks he's some sort of super villain or something.

Due to what the website is classed as, if they were to copyright the name that would mean they couldn't be classified as what they are.

What they are classed as, which Mark explains, is something you cannot copyright normally.

It's what allows random people to make videogames and use the name and files in their own games without violating the law.
