I have some bad news, guys, IRL-related. Don't worry, I'm not quitting FIMFiction.
I am being laid off from my job.
Allow me to explain. My current job is at a Gaming Restaurant in the city I live in, called Merlin's Beard. It was a great place to work, the owners had experience with kids on the Spectrum, I really enjoyed my job in the kitchen, and my coworkers were good friends.
Today I was notified by John, one of the owners, that they had to lay off around seven people to make up for revenue lost over the holidays with me among them. I was not being fired, I have access to unemployment, and John told me I'l be high on the list of people they would rehire if the place picked up again and they needed additional help.
But I'm really upset. I loved it at Merlin's, and well...It's not that I didn't know that this would happen to me sometime. It happens to everyone. Doesn't make it any less painful, though. Again, I wasn't fired. And despite what happened, I guess I can now come back as a customer, not an employee.
Then again...
It hurts bad, you know? I need some time guys. Just to get things in order, apply for unemployment...just give me some time. Hopefully I'll be back on the clock, whenever that happens, and I'll have a paycheck again.
Anyway, because of this, I'll be taking a break for a few days to get everything in order. I hope you understand.

Nah, it was a small business. It offered lunch/dinner with board games and the like. Medieval/fantasy tavern-style aesthetic.
