RAD: Families Part Two - The Apples! · 1:29am Dec 21st, 2019
Howdy, folks! No Adorable Applejack today. It'd be a bit redundant...
Back for round two, and now it's time to tackle the biggie, the clan everyone thinks of when someone mentions the word "family" in relation to MLP!
From the very moment we met her, it was very clear that Applejack's family was a huge part of not only her life, but how she saw herself as a pony. She was written to be the stereotypical Southerner, with a big family who she is very close to. Over the years, we've gotten to know the Apple clan more than any other family: Apple Bloom with her boundless energy and optimism, Big Macintosh with his stoic strength and big heart, Granny Smith with her somewhat kooky mannerisms and wizened insight. Even Bright Mac and Pear Butter, when we finally saw them, echoed those same characteristics we see in their kids. And of course, we can't forget the newest addition to the family, Sugar Belle, a throwaway character from the Season Five premiere who came back and really earned her happy ending with Mac.
Each had episodes centered around them, or at least featuring them prominently, and as a result, they are the most fleshed out family, and the one we have the best connection to. The Apple family were center in two of my three favorite episodes of the show, Pinkie Apple Pie and The Perfect Pear. Also, those songs happen to include my two favorite songs from the show, as well. Last night, I rewatched Perfect Pear, and I still got misty when the song hit.
So, let's get to it! Enjoy another yuge dump of pics featuring Best Pony and her amazing family!
I mean, most of these are adorable in one way or another, but that one with Pear Butter's ghost curled up next to her father, finally returned after all these years... That's just not fair.

I noticed how number 13 seems to have been designed before their reveal in Season 8. I'd like to see a compilation what people had previously imagined the Apple parents to look like, in all those years previous.
