Random Brainstorming: Celestia X Sombra Nextgen?

I'm a sucker for next-gens, plus tragic stories of star-crossed lovers. I recently stumbled across some art that reminded me of an idea that scratched both itches, and I'm curious what you think.

Random Headcanon: Sunburst and Sunset are the Same Pony, Pre- and Post-Transition

I've always liked the idea that Sunburst and Sunset are related somehow. This headcanon fills in some gaps in EQG canon while playing off that idea. I'm not sure I believe it myself, but it's a fun idea.

    Any Deaf/HoH folks on here?

Hey, odd question: any Deaf/HoH bronies on here? I'd like to consult about a story idea I have, in which Big Mac is Deaf. I like the idea, but I want to make sure I'm treating the disability respectfully, raising awareness rather than making fun, etc., etc., but the advice I got on Reddit was "Unless you're Deaf yourself, don't." I'd like to talk to someone about this idea, maybe even collab on

    Coltifornia Pones: Feedback/Thoughts?

So, I've been reading through the rulebook for the new My Little Pony RPG (would anyone be interested in a review/writeup?), and one of the locations they mentioned is "Applewood"--pony-Hollywood, which, the book says, is where the Elements of Harmony are at their weakest. I've found myself brainstorming for what a story/adventure set there might look like, and how the ponies would contend with a

    Shameless Plug: Board Game Fundraising

Dear Reader, I come to you in an hour of (nerdy) need.

A crowdfunding campaign for a board game I dearly love is about to close, but I have not the funds to back it, and I have been unable to convince my wife that we need to mortgage our house to do so. And so, I have done the only thing I can: I have put up a number of my board games for sale to raise the necessary fundage.

Celestia XVII-3 Brainstorming Survey · 4:22pm Nov 12th, 2019

Hey everypony!

As you should already know, Celestia XVII: The Broken Princess wrapped up today. Look out for a postmortem blog post coming soon!

In the meantime: I've been coming up with some ideas for the sequel already, and I'm curious to know what you think! Here's a survey where you can respond to these ideas.

(Please note that there are some spoilers--if you're not current on the story itself, go finish it up first!)

Thanks!

Ah. I've honestly been letting this one sit so I didn't have to watch Celly slowly suffer. I'll get back to it soon.

Oh no! So sorry to drag you through that!

If it makes you feel any better: if/when I'm mean to my characters, I always try to make their suffering worth it in the end. As an author, I think it's worth it to kick them around a bit if they get a happy ending--especially a really happy one.

In Celestia's case (very minor spoilers), most of her conflicts come out of a lack of confidence in her own abilities. By the end of the story, she becomes a lot more confident and sure of herself by the end. This is the last time that I plan to use "Self doubt" as an antagonist.

Either way--I hope you enjoy the final product, and that it's worth the wait!

Oh fuck I completely forgot aaaa
