... a brand-new story drops tomorrow night, hopefully squeaking in under the wire of the Imposing Sovereigns II deadline:

Ember staggers to her claws, brushing dust from her shoulders and glaring at me. "You invade my world," she snarls, "you steal my people, you try to murder a pony. You dog." Her voice rises in rage. "Do you have anything to say for yourself before I bring you to heel?"

Fang and Flame. Because ass-kicking warrior dragon princess is Best Dragon Princess.

(If anyone wants to link potential cover art of ass-kicking warrior dragon princess, btw, it would save me time searching and I'd be super grateful. I'm cutting this way too close as it is.)

NGL, I had a moment of panic when I saw my fic pop up right next to yours on the new fic feed. We have taken very different approaches to the prompt of War, and now our fics must do battle.

I'm mostly amused that I wasn't the only one hurtling straight toward that deadline brick wall at 88 mph, waiting for lightning to strike moments before the crash. That final sprint was pretty brutal; I had to pull some workweek all-nighters.

But yours looked pretty fun! Now that I'm catching my breath I'll have to do some reading too
