Howdy howdy~
I just had a largely productive day of writing and editing. It feels good to be in the grove again ^_^ I know that I've made it known in a few places already that I'll be returning to the The Poisoned Barb's Tale later this year, but I just wanted you all to see just how far things have progressed. When I took this picture though, I noticed something that I thought could be interesting to talk about in the meantime...
... I've written a lot of stories on this site since 2012, but I haven't always POSTED them! While there are a few titles you'll probably recognize if you've been following me for awhile, I'm willing to bet that most of the ones in this tab will be a mystery to you. While I'm going through editing today, please feel free to ask me about any of these titles you're curious in learning more about! Who knows; maybe I'll actually finish writing one of them someday ;)

P.S. And to those wondering why I was in the middle of Downloading the first The Poisoned Barb when I took this screencap... Weeeellll I might have just finished touching the old baby up a bit to practice getting back into the editing mood. To those who want to reread things before the story continues, now would be your chance as I've axed a ton of filler words like 'very', and I've corrected spelling errors here and there while I was at it

'Nothing is scarier' and 'a foals twisted summer' certainly piped my interest.

We've got a taker!
Well... to start, A Foals Twisted Summer was that Twist centered fic I mentioned that I was messing around with years ago in my blogs. It was going to be a dark mystery story staring Twist that would have taken place in a summer camp in the Crystal Empire. It was going to feature Cheerilee as a secondary character as well, in an adventure-like setting and, as per usual with my writing, there was going to be a lot of (pun intended) twists. I felt that both characters weren't being well utilized in the fandom back when I played around with writing chapter one... but a few factors kept me from going all in. One factor was the redemption of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, who were set to be major antagonists, and another was the transformation of the entire Changeling race. While the story COULD still be made with these few changes, I would need to get in the mood again to write something that may or may not be falsely compared to Gravity Falls
Now for 'Nothing is Scarier'; this one was going to be another HiE style story from me. I wanted to see if I could create another interesting twist on the formula like I did with A Cog and with Poisoned Barb. What made Nothing is Scarier unique was that Equestria was going to be discovered by thousands of people at once through the use of a website URL. Once entered in, the human would appear in Equestria ala Digimon... but the whole world is empty. There's signs that ponies USED to live there, but they were all seemingly raptured away. The world is silent, save for the deadly creatures that still roam the land and attack unprovoked. Dying in Equestria would have booted a human out the land, erased their memory of their trip there completely, and barred them from returning. The protagonists band together to try to discover what had happened to everypony, learn a little about friendship along the way... and, outside of the answer to the event, that's as far as I got. It was sort of a one night fling, but I might retool it and give it a go someday. It probably wouldn't be A Cog or Poisoned Barb long, but it could be a fun distraction

Haha. I think what I hate about the new Changelings isn't so much the reformation in itself so much as what the show did with them afterwards... which is to say nothing. Thorax never shares a word with his former queen, and while it was cool that a few of them got in her face during the final battle, it was really not enough. Why do some new Changelings have horns, wings, neither, or both? Why did Oculus never use horn magic? A potentially nonbinary/trans excepting society is CRAZY cool... but it was never truly explored.
... Which also never happened with Zebras, Kirin, Bat Ponies, Breezies, Buffalos (Littleheart was at the final battle as a fun fact), the list goes on. So much potential lore... *drools*
