The Ride Never Ends · 3:47pm Oct 13th, 2019
Greetings to everyone.
Though I have been updating Aftersound as frequently as it was possible, I haven't done a blog in quite a while.
With the recent events and the development of the story, I have something to tell. No spoilers, both for the show and Aftersound below, so you can dive into my illiteracy without any fear.
So… the last episode (three of them) aired yesterday (it was today for me, but you get the idea). I absolutely loved it, it was a worthy ending for the generation. I’m not going to give you a thorough analysis, you can find enough of that everywhere you look (also, I promised no spoilers). Nor am I really going to mince words and delve into talking about the future of My Little Pony. I will say only this: it doesn’t mean that things are going to end for me. I still have stories to tell, and then we are going to have the next iteration of My Little Pony. Regardless of it being good or bad, I will continue writing, you can always find me here. The ride never ends.
Speaking of writing and endings.
On Thursday I finished the last chapter and the epilogue. For the last two months, I was pushing myself to the limit, writing daily as much as I can, barely taking a moment to rest. I was very concerned about ending up with a lame finale, so I wanted my proofreaders to see it as soon as possible in the case I have to re-write it. There are some things that should be tweaked, but so far it seems that I didn’t fail and Aftersound got an ending it deserves.
There is still a lot of work ahead of me and my editors. Though most of it is ahead of them now, because the chapters are ridden with mistakes and, well, they are huge. While the next chapter is of relatively average size, the last two are more than twenty-three thousand words long each, not taking into account the very short epilogue. It is quite possible that their editing will take longer than usual. But it will be worth the wait.
That is both great and a bit sad news. Another story comes to an end.
As I said, I’m not out of stories, I just need to recuperate a bit before taking quill in my hands again. The last chapter will be followed by two blog posts. The first is going to be about the ending of Aftersound, all the people who contributed to its creation. About my experience writing it and my future plans. The second is going to contain some interesting stuff: how the story came to be, the things that didn’t make it into it and so on.
For now, watch for the updates.

If you haven’t checked already - here’s the blog dedicated to illustrations for Aftersound.
As usual, I sincerely hope I didn't make too many mistakes writing all that.
Thanks for reading.
Stay Awesome,
Oneimare
Cheers. I'll drink to that.
