I've been feeling nostalgic of 90's show Darkwing Duck lately, thanks to DuckTales 2017 reboot which featured the return of Drake Mallard.
And now, I'm getting this idea of writing fanfic about a similar hero who goes by the name, the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well. 
But instead of being the Mane 6(or7), say that this incarnation's true identity remains a mystery and she's an amalgamation of all our favorite heroines. On top of that, she has no special powers, no magic, no flight, no super-strength, but is equipped with martial arts skills and techno savvy knowledge. Her origin story is unknown. But the most common element she has in every of her backstories is that she was greatly inspired by the Mane 6, or EQG's Main 7, and is colored impressed to do her part in making the world a better place, and stopping the bad guys.
In the meantime, "Let's get dangerous!"
It sounds rather promising to me. We never knew who 'Red X' was in the old 'Teen Titan 2003' days, though many said is was Jason Todd. Considering that this 'Mare Do Well' could be any pony, but unlike the way she's portrayed by the Mane Six, this pony could be 'anyone'. Course a story would not be complete without a few side characters for this story, hopefully those who don't follow too many comic book stereotypes. I can picture the potential in this being a fun little series that doesn't need to put too much emphasis on her identity or backstory, keeping it as 'vague' as possible, while focusing more on her actions. Like 'V' from 'V for Vendetta', even though he's more of an anti-hero and sometimes a terrorist for his actions (But he was more sympathetic in the movie).
