New & Original Art Pieces · 9:06pm Sep 15th, 2019

For this second post I’m making today, I decided, after finding myself no longer able to be contained of excitement any longer, to show you guys three new paintings that I made a week or two ago. Each of them being made on some small pieces of canvas, if I may add.

Take a look:

The first painting that’s being shown here is of a set of tracks made by my favorite dinosaur of all time: Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I made it after being inspired by a picture of fossilized T-Rex footprints in a dinosaur book, which I saw all the time when I was a kid.

The other two paintings represent patterns and shapes that I was inspired to make based on my loves for patterns.

What do you guys think?

I would say that I see you're a man of culture, but I already knew that.

I always like seeing your art pieces. Nice work. :)

I honestly feel like you're trying to make a statement with that last piece.:twilightblush:

Those are really good!

Simple but very nice artwork!

To me:

The bottom picture is an expression of frustration and isolation.
One circle represents how society expects you to behave: get a job, get educated, buy a house, get married, have kids, ECT.
The other circle represents the stigma society places on you because of Autism: can't work like everyone else, is inherently limited, will be a crutch on society.
The area where the circles overlap is your genuine self: you exist as you are inspite of the contradictioning lables that are placed on you, doing the best you can with what you have. The color is not a blend of what you get when you combine the colors of the circles, which suggests to me an intent to say confident rebuttal to both sets of expectations/limitations that are placed on you:
You are who you are and that's just how it is; and you will not be made to change to suite anyone's views about how your life should be conducted.

Wow.

That representation wasn’t even what came to my mind while making the painting. And yet...I actually think you’re correct too.

You would know better than me:derpytongue2:

In retrospect, not even I would know better than I.
