    Audiobook Announcement

I'm excited to announce that I'm working on an audiobook for Hooves of Fate. I started with Chapter 63: Rivers. This way, long-time readers of HoF can reorient themselves to the momentum of the story before the upcoming release of Chapter 64 (text) this Saturday.

    The Voice of the People

They can cancel Friendship is Magic. They can cancel Make Your Mark. But they can never silence the voice of the people.

    Flurry Heart's Reign of Terror

I stayed up till 2am last night talking with a friend - orchestrating a plot - theorizing what precisely it would take for (young adult) Flurry Heart to successfully depose both of her parents, and Twilight Sparkle.

Help! My Heart is Full of Pony! - The Festival of the Two Sisters. · 8:42pm Aug 27th, 2019

I still remember how the pilot to My Little Pony forced me to re-evaluate my relationship with the Sun and the Moon. It was a wake up call - an invitation to see them, not as GIANT BALLS OF SCIENCE AND STUFF (as had previously been believed), but as the magical horse princesses that they are!

So naturally, the Summer Sun Celebration is very personal to me . In "Summer Sun Setback," it was announced that this was to be Equestria's final SSC. Twilight Sparkle immediately set firm in her resolve to make it the best celebration ever. To me, that very mission encapsulates what the creative team has been going for this entire season - to go out with a bang, and to celebrate their love of this world we all share.

I don't know about you, but when the ending came around, and Twilight announced that the Summer Sun Celebration would be replaced with a Festival of the Two Sisters, the fact that the show is actually coming to an end became poignantly real for me.

It was a change to the very festival that started the whole series, a part of the mythology tickled my imagination in the first place. Twilight's speech was the writers' love letter to Equestria, to the show, and to everyone who holds it dear. Because this episode was about moving forward and looking back at the same time - celebrating not only what we have, and where we are, but also how we got there.

The princesses will always be with us. Always.

Your image appears to have a problem there. Possibly a line break in the closing tag?
Ah, I see you fixed it.

And nice. :)

I saw you post this on the EQD Facebook, but without your profile pic, or this essay series title, I didn’t make connection in my head at all!

May the Horse be with you. Always.

It is indeed an end and a beginning, taking some of the familiar and moving forward together toward something new. I have a feeling that we'll all be okay, as long as we have one another.

I run a FB page called "Bronies," but we are not affiliated with EqD. Is that what you mean?

Hmm, that might have been it. With filly Luna? I guess I thought that WAS something to do with EqD.
