First Story Complete: Now to blurb (possibly lament) a bit · 2:02pm Aug 27th, 2019
Okay, to anyone that's even paying attention, "Starlight's New Drinking Buddy" is now finished.
I just wanted to get it out of the way before another busy semester started up, so there you have it. While I was working on the last chapter, I considered writing a one-shot with similar themes for the holidays. Unfortunately, there are three things that are concerning :
1. Priorities: I have a busy semester coming up, and I my goals dictate that I restrict the time I spend with this site.
2. Other Responsibilities: Rural life can be a drag, especially when nobody is willing to help, so I'm basically the "go-to" guy to pick up the slack when I'm not studying.
3. FiM Situation: with the canonical series coming to a close in a few months, the lack of interest in the site is inevitable, so there may not be any point in continuing with fanfiction.
In short, 1 and 2 mean I'm likely to forget, and 3 is entirely dependent on the site moderators (I have no clue what their intentions are when the show's over). Rip me if you will, just giving you guys a heads-up.
Interest in fan content won't be diminishing for a while fam. This ride will last longer than you think.
From what I've heard, the site mods intend to possibly broaden the site's parameters to include fiction outside of FiM, but pony will always be a central theme.
And, yeah, with such a wealth of detailed lore and background, not to mention untold stories, why people lose interest in this site? Why do people keep ignoring all the evidence from long lived fandoms like Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR and others, and assume that just because the series is ending, that the fandom is sure to follow?
Well, the last I checked Star Trek fan fiction didn't stop with the ending of the series. I understand about having a heavy semester, and work at home so I won't badger you about that, but I would like to have a continuation of this continuity. I liked you song choices and would ask you for another if you're game when you have the time.

Thanks. Hopefully I don't forget by then. By the way, did my rendition of Twilight seem out of character? (Just hindsight talking, this was more "hit and run" writing than anything.)
