The rest of Season 9 got leaked, now people are blaming Big Jim Miller... · 1:05am Aug 27th, 2019
So "Big Jim" Miller has had to lock his social media because apparently he's been getting death threats. Why? Because the Netherlands just decided to air the remainder of Season 9 early. Aside from the fact that the rest of us should be hypervigilant about spoilers, we ought to support the man who directed so many of our most beloved episodes. Also, let's not forget that he doesn't have anything to do with the leak, and couldn't possibly have stopped it with anything short of physically being in the Netherlands with a gun.

Precisely. I have no idea what goes on in some people's heads. I suppose some people may not like the ending, perhaps? But even then, there's no excuse for that sort of behavior.

Probably the same thing that goes through people's heads when they blame Game Freak for Pokemon games they weren't involved with, and I'm probably paraphrasing a bit because they aren't nearly this eloquent when they actually talk: "durr..."

Okay not sure how things work on an international scale when it comes to tv shows and what-not, but are the Netherlands allowed to release S9 episodes early, I mean it's understandable - especially if the episodes are in the native language - and I mean it spoilers for any fans who live in Netherlands - I think? - soooo... I mean I consider something spoilers if:
A. somebody starts posting spoilers about something publicly.
B. the creators show a teaser that shows too much for just a teaser.
C. "You are only spoiled, if you choose to." I don't openly search for clips of episodes I don't plan to watch yet, I mean I'm still on S7 still, and I haven't even seen the movie yet.
So I'm not certain which fans are sending death-threats and why - are they sending threats because Netherlands is getting to watch the show earlier, or are they upset because country is showing footage of the episodes in the internet? - I mean I'm pretty certain Hasbro didn't just give the broadcast stations - I don't know how television signals work globally - at Netherlands the green light, especially for one of their best and long-running shows, they are very methodical when it comes to release dates on a international scale or local scale.
