Somewhere in the USA. Probably older than you. And something about MLP:FIM makes me want to write stories. Unfortunately, being gainfully employed cuts into my writing time.

  • EScootaloo's Family
In all the time they’ve been together, the Cutie Mark Crusaders have never seen Scootaloo’s home or family. Why? The speculation is as wild as their crusade ideas! But today, the truth comes out, as they finally meet Scootaloo’s family.

    Retrospective Review: Strong Seconds

Not an episode review this time.

PresentPerfect writes about the "Applejack Problem", that a character with everything figured out becomes too boring. Her cutie mark is literally deciding she wants to stay home.

Retrospective Review: Putting Your Hoof Down and It's About Time

    S2E19 Putting Your Hoof Down

Watching this episode as part of the whole series is jarring. You have episode after episode of ponies being kind and friendly, then a whole bunch of rude ponies all at once.

I hate Angel Bunny in this episode. I want to turn him into hasenpfeffer.

I'd like to know why there just happens to be a hedge maze somewhere near Ponyville.

Retrospective Review: Hearts and Hooves Day and A Friend in Deed

    S2E17 Hearts and Hooves Day

The writers have chosen, once again, to feature a holiday or celebration in this episode. Arguably, this is the seventh time (Summer Sun Celebration, Winter Wrap Up, Running of the Leaves, Grand Galloping Gala, Nightmare Night, Hearth's Warming, Hearts and Hooves Day), and the third time directly referencing a major American holiday.

Retrospective Review: Baby Cakes and The Last Roundup

    S2E13 Baby Cakes

So this was an episode that came completely out of the blue. There was no indication of Cup Cake being pregnant, let alone with twins. I'm assuming there was a toy involved.

"That makes sense, right?" Sure, but if you're a pegasus stallion with a beige coat or a unicorn stallion with a yellow coat, I wouldn't recommend dining at Sugarcube Corner.

MLP: FIM writers are definitely reading my stories! · 4:01am Jun 16th, 2019

In Scootaloo's Family, she has a brother who is a fan of Equestria's version of the Crocodile Hunter.

In today's episode, her father is Equestria's version of the Crocodile Hunter.

Coincidence? I think not!

You have a point.

Although I think he's more like Crocodile Dundee than Steve Irwin.

But that's just me.

Interesting. In Letters From a Little Princess Monster, Scootaloo's parents both have jobs in Cloudsdale, and they don't have her with them because it would be dangerous for a little filly who can't fly to be there. In the episode, Scootaloo's parents both have dangerous jobs in the wilderness, and they don't have her with them because it would just be dangerous.

Really, the writers probably went through the same chain of "hmmmm" that we all did, although I thought making Scoots have both pegasus parents worked better. And an interesting thought about her aunts. One is an earth pony, one is a pegasus, just like her mom and dad in the show. Would it be possible that one is Dad's sister, and one is Mom's sister?

Scoot's dad is probably from Horsetralia or some equally bad pun.

I wonder if we'll see the aunts again before the end of the season, since they live in Ponyville now.

I'm not sure where the information came from, the wiki says that Holiday is Snap's older sister, but they don't say anything about Lofty.

Edit: Apparently it was in the episode.

Aunt Holiday: Lofty, don't tease my brother.

Hosstrailia, I believe you mean.

While I agree spoiler tags may have been needed for those who haven’t watched the episode yet (not me but others might not have yet)

Like I said, or some equally bad pun.

Makes more sense than the surprisingly high number of people who think Gabby was a reference to BlackGryphon.
